Id love to but I was throwing Harrison as an alternate. The scenario where you have Buckner-Harrison-Armstead as your front line is scary. Harrison is huge and powerful, but he's surprisingly quick for his size. If Williams walks, I hope they would go hard after Harrison

Armstead------Williams-------Buckner
I like it but we really need an OLB
There isn't a OLB worth drafting at 7...spencer or ogbah later in the first would be nice but not at 7.
Also I think going to FA for someone like Irvin or Vernon at OLB would be better IMO.
If Eli can gain some muscle and if we can get tank some real reps we might have a soild pass rush rotation.
I think Bosa could play OLB for us and he's a worthy a 7th overall pick. The only problem is that he is probably going earlier. I completely agree on Eli.
No no bosa is worth a 7th overall pick but there is no chance he will be there for us.

Buckner would be too hard to pass up if he's there at 7. If he's not there then I'd be ok with Treadwell or one of the top OL.

Bosa is the stereotypical 4-3 DE isn't he? I'd still take him in a heart beat.

Bosa better position seems to be 4-3 DE but I think he can play 3-4 DE or 3-4 OLB.

I don't think Buckner is that great esp at 7. His college tape is solid but unspectacular. I would rather get a playmaker at wr finally.

Trenches>>>>>>>>>WR.
I'd say his college tape is actually pretty spectacular. He's got 8.5 sacks in a defense that no one EVER gets sacks in.

He's a 3-4 DE with 15 sacks in his last 2 seasons, who has shown improvement every single season and whose ceiling is nearly limitless. Not sure what tape you're watching but he was a wrecking ball for Oregon this year, at times even double-teams couldn't stop him.
Buckner finished the year ranked as the No. 1 pass rusher and No. 8 run defender in PFF's interior defensive line rankings. "Given his ability to affect the game as both a pass rusher and against the run, while showing the scheme versatility to move around the defensive line, Buckner is a top five pick
"His comp is going to be Calais Campbell or Arik Armstead, but I think he's more talented coming out than either one of those guys," he said. "He's twice the player Armstead was coming out." Armstead, of course, went No. 17 to the San Francisco 49ers last year. Pro Football Focus's Steve Palazzolo has argued that Buckner should be a top-five draft pick. The 6-foot-7, 290-pound Buckner is likely ticketed for the top-10.

Agreed, but can the trenches be upgraded in FA? Also, this years draft seems deep at Dline.

He also didn't have a whole lot of talent around him, so 8.5 sacks is still pretty impressive.

If we can't land any top FA DE's, I wouldn't mind grabbing him.

3-4 DEs don't get on the highlight reel that often. But Buckner got a lot of pressure on the QB last year as a 3-4 DE. 6-7 290 with room to grow. Talk about a physical beast that Kelly and Baalke like.
Imagine running a 3-4 with two f**king Calais Campbells at either end. That's what we'd be getting in Deforest Buckner and Armstead. Win the trenches.
