DeForest Buckner DL - Oregon

The envision them at RDE and LDE rushing the passer and crating havoc for the next ten years.
but what we would pass up would be too great.
Buckner could go any where between 15-32
If we waited to pick him we would pass up a starting WR an OT and May be a pass rushing OLB.
I'm tired of seeing our offense not being able to score more the ten of seventeen points.
we have weapons we just can't use them because our Offensive line is so bad.
Bolden is not going to play for ever either I asked him.
Our defense is upper-tier that means a little above average with another pass rusher Top ten pick.
we could have a top 5 or a top10 defense and you know what that wins?

OL could be taken care of in FA. I don't really see a ton of WRs worth drafting early in the 1st (I like Treadwell but not in the top 10).

They are gonna have around $50 million in cap space or maybe more depending on what they do with Brooks/Kap next season a lot of offensive players can be had in FA.

WR: M Jones, A Jeffery, M Sanu come to mind

OL- A Smith M Schwatz, C Glenn, A Mack, E Mathis, resign Boone.

I think going BPA in the draft is the best route to go...IF Blaine is worth keeping as the starting QB for next season that would be HUGE.

IMO, going the FA for our OLine is the best way to go and then get developmental guys later.

I mean we already have developmental guys like Thomas, Martin, brown, tiller, and the kid from BC.

If Davis and Kilgore both come back to regular form then we'd be looking a lot better

i always cheer all the niners, only thing I have hardly noticed him to play to even cheer for him. I would rather draft Bosa because I dont trust baalke drafting 2nd, and 3rd picks his track record is awful.

Then you're clearly not watching...AA making plays at his position when he's in. You look at stat sheets, but fail to watch how he's been progressing. PFF has him highly ranked... you should be happy a young prospect is actually playing well for us and has a bright future instead on hating on him because he wasn't your pick.

Also I think we'd all love Bosa but that would require the 1st pick in the draft IMO.

its very likely we get that

Wouldn't mind
Buckner is playing at another level right now. I can definitely see him moving into the top 10. 13 tackles for loss and 7.5 sacks so far. He stops the run well, by he does his best disrupting the QB. I'd love for him to join AA.

Right! Kid is a monster and once he blows away the combine he's gonna go up th boards...id be pumped to get him in a trade down or if we win a couple more games somehow get him in the first.
I'm not sure if anyone watched the Stanford V Oregon game all the way through, or has watched the games in years passed.
But ever since Shaw became their head coach, he has always had a special game plan for the ducks defense. He runs the ball.
Regardless of what down it is, and regardless of how many minutes are left, his commitment to running the football is very clear.

In 2012 he ran it 45 times (Stepfan Taylor getting 33) against the ducks, throwing 28 attempts.
In 2013 he ran it 66 times (no you aren't reading that wrong, Gaffney had 45 attempts), throwing the ball 13 times.
In 2014 he ran it 39 times (despite being down since the first quarter), and threw it 26 times.
This year he ran it 47 times, and threw it 30 times.

Like I said above, his commitment to the run game is clear. Against a small and athletic defense like Oregon, a power run scheme is its kryptonite. But this year something was a little different, and I think Shaw noticed it early because Buckner was not letting that happen. It was single handedly the best defensive performance I have seen from an Oregon D-lineman since the days of Haloti Ngata. For 4 years Shaw ran it up the middle on us, outside the tackles, in between the tackles, but this last game he was not running it on Buckner.
Buckner had 10 tackles, with 4 of them being for loss. Not to mention his motor that game was incredible, if our line played with the same heart he did I wouldn't complain about them again, because I know they're giving it all they've got.
It was getting to the point where Stanford was having to sub in offensive lineman because Buckner was demanding a double on every play and fighting his way through it.

Seriously, I'm not a fan of Oregon D-lineman, and haven't been since Kelly became our coach. But how Buckner was able to make Shaw change his 4 year gameplan against us was nothing short of amazing.

Two 6-7 300 pound 3-4 DEs to lock down the line for years to come. The only thing is, DL is probably the 49ers strongest position right now. But we'll have plenty of cap space to fill needs with free agents.

Much rather have Robert NKemdiche, I think he can line up everywhere on the 49ers D-line and can even stand up and rush the passer. If the 49ers draft in the top 10 it has to be NKemdiche, if the 49ers draft in the top 20 then I wouldn't be mad if they took Buckner, but would much rather take an O-line.
I'm on board.

Dorsey, Williams, and Dial, Carradine, and TJE are all scheduled for free agency after next season right?

I agree with this, but if Baalke lands a top 10 pick.. I would assume he would trade it back. Idk why but I think he would stick to his quantity over quality BS which is starting to wear thin with me.

If we drafted NKemdiche I would be so happy. I have him as the #3 prospect right now, but IMO he has the highest ceiling in this draft class.

we'd need a top 3 pick IMO to draft him...he's a stud no doubt but Buckner in a trade down would be fine by me as well.
Buckner doing his thing again...7 sacks in last five games not too shabby.

Buckner and Armstead at DE, Williams at NT, I wouldn't even be mad.

With Dial as the first off the bench

I love the idea of Buckner in SF. I'm beginning to think he's worthy of a top ten pick
