DeForest Buckner DL - Oregon

Who do y'all compare him to? I don't know much about him.

And how does he compare to Armstead?

Same playing strength, but he's more athletic, more instinctive, and a better pass rusher.

Same type of player, more consisntly disruptive vs run and pass. They would make a badass combination in the future.
Saying all that, I still think AA will be a stud.

They are actually very different players. Buckner is much more athletic on the football field than Arik is. AA pretty much is a power guy, where Buckner has some athletic ability to get around people. He'd be great on the end for chasing guys down. Take a flier on Baldicci as an undrafted FA and the band will be back together again

He is a hybrid of Calais Campbell and JJ Watt. I think he will end up somewhere in the middle of talent and productivity of these two giants of the NFL.
Want so bad! I wonder what are our chances of drafting this guy based on the draft needs the other teams above us.

I don't think he falls to us. I'm hoping for Goff, Buckner, or Jack. I think one of them will be available at 7, with Wentz, Tunsil, and Ramsey almost certainly gone and Stanley likely to go.
I would take him at #7.

High praise. Would love to bookend him with AA and Williams in the middle .

I truly believe that a Buckner-Williams-Armstead line could be dominant.

I think we're going to lose Williams.

Not so much as a report but I read some mild rumors that the 49ers do want Williams back but are willing to let him test his value on the open market and the extension of Dial was done as an insurance policy so to speak.
If Goff is gone, then I'd take him
