I personally, just does not see him as a top 10 player..

Why is that? He absolutely dominated last year and even the year before when we ended up taking AA. What do you not like about him?

Honestly watching his tape he plays how I wish AA played the game. With all out effort. Man if AA had that kind of fire he would be a beast.

6'7 300 (a lean 300). Athletic, great motor. What's not to love? Dude could easily go in the top 5. The 49ers will have a dominate DL in a couple years if we draft him.

True, he's got the size and all.. but I saw Oregon about 6x last year, and the year prior to that... I was against drafting AA with the 15th overall pick because I often asked why he only had 2.5 sacks when Oregon would be up at least 17 pts each game..

Most Baalke supporters here believe that AA was used to clog up the blockers so that others can make the plays.. but that's BS, because if you're up by 17, what blockers do you need to clogg when you know it's gonna be an 80% passing down.. 2.5 sacks to me just means that AA is purely weak..

While Buckner on the other hand, registered about 8 to 12 (if not mistaken), but those 6 games I watched them played, re really didn't stand out... the guy deserve to be in the 1st, but NO top 10 (IMO)... he reminds me of "Big Daddy" Wilkerson.

Buckner had the size and a high motor. AA just has size.
You guys have to remember AA is fairly new to football because he played basketball as well in college. The fact that he is only 22 and will get stronger and gain more experience is something to look forward to. AA and Buckner would be insane. AA being the power type and Buckner being more finesse.

This
Buckner will be LONG gone by #7.
Not so much now that Baltimore desperately needs a Tackle.

If Buckner gets past SD, there is a great chance he is there at 7. Dallas could go QB or Bosa and Jacksonville just spent big money on Jackson and they are getting Fowler, their 1st round pick last year, back from injury. Jack or Hargreaves makes much more sense for them

SD is the only threat IMO and they could easily take Ramsey at #3, arguably the best defensive player in this draft

is he still an option after resigning dial and williams?

AA-Williams-Buckner

Dial first off the bench

Of course. Williams is our NT and Dial is a solid rotational guy. Buckner is an instant upgrade to him and would start at RE immediately. I expect to have a solid rotation along that Dline this year
I was really hoping we got a MLB or Irving through FA. If that happened and we drafted buckner, we have a stout defense whether buckner would start or not. I think he would, dial really doesn't have a high ceiling. It would be awesome to have a good defense again. I still want buckner but we got other holes we can fill if he isn't there at 7. I would rather get buckner or jack or ramsey. I know buckner and ramsey are far shots. I'd rather have a top tier athlete at 7 than a chance on a QB who really isn't considered a top ten or five lock pick. This defense has so many holes on the front seven, its sad really.
