Yes and no.

We drafted safety's back to back and hated it. And his point about Conklin holds water.

And both those "safeties" are starters for us.
Bosa v. Buckner at #7 is a good problem to have.

LMAO. They said the EXACT same thing about AA because of the scheme and assignments of Oregon's 3-4 scheme.

Hint: it's just like ours.

Bottom Line Headed into this season, Buckner was a traits prospect who flashed with quickness, strength and overall athleticism, but he put those traits together in 2015. Buckner has the body type of a classic 3-4 defensive end who can control the point of attack with length and power, but he has above average pass rush potential for that position which figures to push him into the early stages of round one. Buckner has similar power to former teammate Arik Armstead, but is a much better pass rusher and has a chance to become a dominant force in the NFL.

make it happen

I got some bad news...........

with this roster that's not a hard feat

Ward was looking like a very good CB by the end of the season( he was shutting down WRs in the slot) and Eric Reid already has a pro bowl under his belt. There a lot of positions you can b***h about but safety isn't one.

I'll add just about every team in the league would be more than happy to have Reid as one of their starting safeties.

If Buckner is there, he's likely the best player available. We're not going to be good for years, so we should be looking at BPA throughout the draft. I'd prefer either QB, Tunsil, Ramsey, or Jack (assuming Jack's injury checks out), but Buckner could become our best defensive lineman. DL is one of our strongest positions, but that's because we aren't strong at any position.

not too sure we are sold on Reid as far as picking up his 5th year option
