DeForest Buckner DL - Oregon

I would be happy to have Buckner but I do feel that he's being a bit over hyped because of his size/Arms/Hands alone.

Would Rather have Bosa fills a greater need at a position that is weak in this yrs draft unlike DL

You do know Bosa is a DL and a 4-3 DL at that.

That means he's gonna be a beast #Kiperblows

Lol boom or bust. He's boom or really solid. How is bust in the equation?

When has any team always or in general drafted the player the fans wanted?

I just wouldn't get emotionally attached to any single prospect, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

That's also just not true.
DE - Armstead, Dial, Dorsey, Jerod-Eddie, Ramsey?
DT - Williams, Purcell, Garrison Smith

Dorsey has played a full season once in the last 4 years and is 30, coming off a torn ACL. Will he even be back?
TJE was signed to a one year deal, so he's not going to be here much longer.

Musta been an NFCW scout.

If Buckner is there at 7 he has to be the pick.

This is true I'd be fine with Buckner, Jack, or bosa though.

In the vid I posted MI State vs Oregon I was actually more impressed with Conklin than Buckner the 2nd time I watched it. Would be happy with either of those guys.

Seriously, if I were JM, I wouldnt even post that. Are you kidding me? The team has no proven d-linemen. They're only semi-proven ones, Ian Williams and Dorsey are weaker than toothpicks, who break constantly. There is less than 25% chance that either will play even 10 games this year. What a joke!

Kiper just saying anything to get clicks at this point. I don't know if there has EVER been a 3-4 end as ready to be drafted as Buckner coming out of college

Have you seen his numbers? Dude put up ridiculous stats for a 3-4 DE That is why he is being hyped. His combine just validated his stock being sky high

Conklin held up well vs both Buckner and Bosa. Nothing fancy about him but he is a grinder who gets it done.

dude is better than Pears and Devey and could start at either spot on our right OL

I think what that scout was saying is the players we have on our DL right now are better than what we have on our thin right side of the OL.

Buckner is best player at that spot if there.
Conklin could be the best need player.

Trading back a few spot to get Conklin if Buckner is gone would be idea but that can always backfire. Taking Conklin at #7 is no different than taking Arik over other players last year. That's who Trent wanted and he took him. Prob cause no one wanted to trade.

But they did trade down and still got Armstead.

With Conklin, I could see them move down 3 or 4 spots and still get him.

I wouldnt be mad if they took him at #7 though, he would step in as a starter at right tackle from Day 1 and potentially move to left tackle in a few years. Locking down a tackle spot long term with a guy who is a beast in the run game and gave up one sack all of last season...you certainly could do worse.

Just saying there was other players with more upside than Arik at the spot.

Who knows maybe the guy Trent wanted was taken so he traded back and took Arik?
