Somewhere in between in my opinion (a moderate amount better).

He's a little quicker, has a better motor, has longer arms, and uses his arms better as a pass rusher. Armstead seems a little stronger and a little more explosive. Buckner was the better college player while Armstead was drafted based on potential. Buckner's arm length (34 3/8") and motor give him a higher ceiling in my opinion and his floor is also a lot higher. Armstead's arms aren't long for a guy his size (33" is pretty average).

Buckner is like a big ass condor and Armstead is a 6-7 bulldog...having both on our DL would be amazing.

I'd cream my pants if we drafted Buckner.

Ya'll crazy if we draft a CB it has to be a shutdown CB like Hargraves, because the guy has all the tools and the only knock on him is his height.

Imo the dude is like a young Brent Grimes.

Short arms are a big concern. Ramsey is faster and more explosive with much better length while Hargreaves has better change of direction. There's a reason why Ramsey is discussed as possibly the best player in the draft and Hargreaves is not.

Hargreaves is more of a nickel.

No way Ramsey makes it past Baltimore. Their secondary was so bad last year they started shareece wright.

If that happens it Buckner over Bosa all day imo
At this point, he is our best option. Hope we can get him.

Short arms/10, Baalke wont go near him.
Chargers GM Tom Telesco told ESPN's Britt McHenry the team has been "locked into" a specific prospect for "a while."

It is a noteworthy statement, as Laremy Tunsil has only been "on the board" for two weeks after the Titans traded out of No. 1. Therefore, one could conclude the Chargers had their mind made up prior to that trade, so DeForest Buckner, Jalen Ramsey and Ronnie Stanley are the likeliest candidates. We would go with Buckner as the most logical fit, as the Chargers desperately need to upgrade the defensive line.

TFY Draft Insider Tony Pauline reports the 49ers "desperately covet" Oregon DE DeForest Buckner.

Buckner is a candidate to be the first non-quarterback drafted, with the Chargers at No. 3 overall linked heavily to him for a number of weeks. But if San Diego opts instead for an offensive lineman or CB/S Jalen Ramsey, Buckner is a candidate to tumble for a couple picks and could land either in the Ravens'. 49ers', or Browns' laps at Nos. 6, 7, and 8 overall. If the 49ers are that enamored with Buckner, they have the ammo -- a league-high 12 picks -- to move up.

He should make it to #7.

Man got a feeling the Chargers go DE even with Ramsey and Tunsil staring them in the face. King Dunlop can't stay healthy to save his life and his contract is pretty much done after this season.

Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if SD takes Buckner, now.
