DeForest Buckner DL - Oregon

He may be viewed as the best pass rusher in this draft, I just don't think he is elite when it comes to getting to the QB. He was really hyped after last year but came nowhere close to replicating that and looked more like his freshman year than his one breakout season. I thought he was an average pass rusher his first year, looked great year two and looked average again last year

lol not saying I wouldn't either I'd be more than happy with Bosa though. We can talk about trading down but you need another team to do that. FYI Bosa was doubled and even tripled last year teams threw everything at the guy this past season. Throw him on the same team with Lynch and Armstead you can't double all of them!

I dont think youre going to be able to trade back very far for Lawson, 3 or 4 picks at most IMO.

That's true but isn't that the case for every top pass rusher? Rarely ever do they get a chance to go one on one yet they still need to figure out a way to get it done. Bosa didn't when it comes to sacks. He still made plays but there was nothing elite about his pass rushing in two of his three years

I think the Giants are his best shot within the Top 10 (assuming Baalke doesn't take him at 7) with maybe the Bears as the other team at 11. I think if we trade back with Tennessee (assuming they want to jump up), 15 is a very safe spot for Lawson.
I wonder if he's drafted by us if he'll wear #94

Like I said agree to disagree on bosa...dudes got a Motor, great hands, power, experience and is built to play the game for years.

Either way we get an excellent pick!

That's what I'm saying! While I have Buckner higher no reason to think bosa can't be a fantastic football player here.

Local radio in San Diego down here is picking Buckner because their DL gave up 5 yards a pop. AA was down here training a couple months ago.

Still hoping for them to take either Stanley or Ramsey (their other top choices).

I think Buckner is the guy, has been for awhile. Their run defense was disgusting.

If Buckner is their pick, I'd like to trade down and grab Vernon butler maybe

Tampa, New Orleans, Miami are possibilities as well. Teams could move up as well, almost every team always want and need pass rushers.
K.I.S.S.- Are your QBs having issues, not a solid substantial upgrade available, take the focus off of them. Grab 2 good lineman, a pro tight end and a sledge hammer of a running back.
Trade the rest of the draft to get them and maybe a pick next year.
Conklin, Henrey and Henry, Jack Allen and Scoobie Write just to finish the point. DONE
