Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - Legit alternative to Jared Goff in 2017?

I can't believe anyone would consider trubisky à on e year starter who has never played big in a big game over D Watson. As Chaz Michaels michaels would say " It's just mind Bottling "
I'd rather have watson over Mitch, more big time game experience, I mean back to back national championship against best defense and succeeded, that says something, I don't see anything special in Mitch like watson and watson a better prospect than Goff was, I wouldn't mind this pick

I'd rather have Mike Williams. Looked like Dez Bryant snatching the ball from the highest point.
the difference between watson and mitch is

watson is more mentally ready and he can run an offense he needs more help on his mechanics
mitch is mechanically sound but not mentally ready yet

No more mechanics issue for me. I can understand lack of experience... both will have their issues but for every poor mechanics/ throwing motion like Philip Rivers there Kaep, RG3, Tim Tebows...If you are going in the Top 10 the only thing you should really need is NFL experience
I wouldn't mind watson at 2, he the only qb who is really worthy of that pick

I think this is what the 49ers are going to present to the draft public to bait the Browns or who ever fell in love last night. Nothing against him, but #2 overall is a little too high for me.

I disagree qarson isses arent huge its not like rodgers out of college where be needs to be broken down and reworked it just needs tweaking

Watson is the only qb in tbis class that has experiance running an offense calling protection hot routes and audibles

That is the biggest learning curve typically

Complete joke!

Watson was great...but he wasn't flawless like his numbers indicated.

He got some big YAC plays on dumpoffs which should've been dropped for a minimal gain or even a loss at times. He got some huge plays from his receivers making tough catches whether jumping up high to grab them or diving low to dig them out. Some of his biggest throws guys were wide open.

Don't just look at his stats there were some really alarming throws by him that didnt' end up costing them. His turnovers, his hot/cold accuracy and the talent around him still makes me nervous as hell to draft in the first round.

You can't question his intangibles but Tim Tebow was full of intangibles as well. There's a lot of questions about the kid and if you draft him you have to give him time and hope he can hit his potential. If he does he'll be terrific but I can also see him having a similar go of it to Tebow which makes me scared as heck to draft him with a top 5 pick.

He also runs a spread offense with limited reads...I'd say that's the biggest learning curve. Watson basically can't help but stare down his receivers in a sense with the way their offense runs. That's a tough habit to break and a bad one to have when your accuracy is spotty.

I'd still take Trubisky but boy do I love the intangibles Watson has.

The Tebow comparison is a big stretch. Tebow can't throw accurately. The out pattern to Renfrow was a thing of beauty. The back shoulder passes and the pinpoint throw to Leggit at the end were all throws Tebow dreams of making.

Watson has the smarts to fully digest a playbook and can make all the throws. He will go top 5 and hopefully a good coaching staff helps him develop further.
Guy is a player. You can't take that away from him. A GREAT COLLEGE QB. Not sure what kind of NFL Starting QB he would be. Reminds me of Vince Young in a lot of ways.....
He may have moved all the up into the 2nd or 3rd round of the draft after last nights performance. Still a reach that early tho.

If you think watson is a 2nd or 3rd round prospect then the only irst round prospect in the last 5 years is andrew luck
