This kid showed me grit and determination. Yes his receivers bailed him out at times but that's what good wr's are supposed to do. He made a throw where his receiver had a chance to make a play and they did...PERFECT! This kid showed he could with stand the pressure in a big game against some big time defensive prospects. Give my Watson over Mitch any day.
I still don't like either of them with our #2 pick.

I mean he's a better passer than Kap for starters

I'd still take Trubisky but boy do I love the intangibles Watson has.
Mitch has the same issues though
Almost every college qb will have this issue

He's also a turnover machine and a QB that has been made look a heck of a lot better than he really is by some amazing catches by a future pro bowl WR.

Watson isn't a future pro bowler but other QB prospects are?

That future pro-bowl WR wasn't on the team last yr when he threw for over 4,000+ yards 35 TDs and went for almost 500 yards vs Bama last yr
past two yrs together he has 8,702 passing yards 76 passing TDs 30 INTs 1,729 rushing yards and 21 rushing TDs...I'll gladly take those INTs if he gets all that production.
I'm not saying he's a top 2 pick but he's already a better QB that Kap is.

I am just not sold on Watson, and his former history with injuries has me even more concerned. I know he showed toughness against 'Bama, but make no mistake, the NFL is a different animal.

I dont agree he had a bad start but finished strong early on he was a victum of trying to do too much
I would draft him in 2nd sot him for a year keep a veteran to start and help him

Vince Young is a great comparison, he was also going to be a pretty good pro if he mentally didn't give up on life. As long as he has a coach that helps him develop on and off the field he should be just fine. Watson or Garrett at #2

Is hard to argue with that.
Like you said, 2 x National Championship games in a row.
In both games, he generated over 450 yards of offense each time.
In both games, he threw for over 400 yards.
And may I remind everyone, that was against Bama's top D.
Again, Bama shut down the run game last night and as the QB Watson he had to put everything onto his shoulders in order to win the game.
After Bama's QB ran in their last TD, he only had 2 mins left to make things happen.
And what happened? He kept his poise and pretty much just marched down the entire field almost Joe Montana like and made it happen just like that.
Overall, when you look at both his production and especially his clutchness, it basically tells you this is a winning QB which differentiates him from the rest of the pack.

I agree. Look what he did a couple of weeks ago also. When it comes down to it, he's clutch. He plays his best in the big games under pressure. How many QB's have that ability. And against one of the all time best college defenses with a one dimensional offense. I think it's really important to consider how absolutely phenomenal that is. He's been doing this for years. He's 6'3" 215 lbs. Trubisky is 6'3" 220. What's the difference? Aaron Rodgers 6'2' 220, Russell Wilson 5'11" 215, Drew Bree's 6'2 209. What's the difference. Watson took some hellacious hits last night and every season he's played and he's still out there. Some QB's are durable and others are not. There is no way to say he won't be considering his history.
He's not going to be used and abused like RG3. You can keep him in the pocket and let him win with his arm...and when a lane opens let me go for 10 and slide. Think how the Seahawks have used Russel Wilson who is much smaller. Strengthening and conditioning can easily put 10 lbs of solid muscle on him and make him much more durable...and he's made it for 3 years in the SEC against the best defenses in the country and he's still in one piece not to mention has dominated. There is simply no way to say he can't be a franchise QB.

The NFL is a different animal for all college QB'S entering the draft. He's played 2 seasons since his injury, both ending with the last game of the college season, hence more games than any of the other QB'S.
