Because I have also seen him look off safeties and throw to second and third reads. We all have tendencies but to fault someone for using a read when he sees it open is questionable.
Right , Every QB has tendencies to work on coming out of college , meanwhile I suppose that Mitch Trubisky throws passes with his back turned to the defense so they can't see his eyes

Key word there is "seen", just cause seen it once doesn't mean he does it consistently. Seriously I've argued all of this and people even tried to argue that Watson isn't a runner. Go back and read this thread, no sense in going around in circles on this.

this. Ill take Garrett or watson happily. Watson may not be perfect, but he is damn good, and you have to roll the dice, so why not roll them on a winner.

Nope he just goes through his reads, and there's video to show that too. It's like you guys just saw Watson for the first time or something.

Yes that's one of his stronger tendencies I've seen on film. That way he can read to whole field, even the part of the field that's behind him. Errrr I mean in front of him because he's facing that way.

No not at all, I've watched this dude play in and out. I have seen Gabbert make his reads too does that mean he should have been the QB all along because he can look at 2 or 3 routes? I'd rather have a player who has showed consistency dating back to his first year throwing 14-2 tds than a one year wonder.

Ever noticed why Watson's INT's went up?

There is something to be said for playing great against NFL caliber players consistently , how many elite defenses has Trubisky played great against ? Just curious

Probably because teams gathered more tape of him and figured out how to play better against him , that being said he still was a Heisman finalist and let his team to the national title so....

I'm just thankful that Watson and Trubisky are our options and we didn't participate in the Jared Goff extravaganza last offseason. He may be the worst #1 overall QB of all time, and that is saying something.

Ask Jameis why his INTs went up too.

I usualy am the last person to talk about race, but I will say that if Watson was White we would all be screaming that the 9ers do not own the number one pick in the draft and we lost out on the next Andrew Luck.
Watson is like a coach in the huddle, he is smart and understands the whole game plan and defenses (like Luck)
He brought a program to two national championship games in two years and won one. (like Luck making Stanford relevant)
To think that a few years ago no team would let warren moon play qb and he went to canada and had to light it up for years b4 an nfl team gave him a chance.
Watson drove down the field with two minutes left against the best defense in the country in the biggest game, give the kid props he is a winner

No no no. You don't understand. Trubisky has no talent on his offense. His RB is merely going in the 2nd round and he'll be lucky if even 5 other players end up on NFL squads.
