Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - Legit alternative to Jared Goff in 2017?

Heck he was getting outplayed (not talking about stats) by Hasselback (in his retirement year I believe).

Lucks defense being so bad pretty much makes every game a shoot out. He is asked to throw the ball a lot. They keep on investing picks to help Luck on offense (then there Dorsett lol) and completely ignore the defensive side of the ball. I'm happy they got rid of their GM as well as ex colt players. Not saying Luck is perfect he has to work on his interceptions but he is literally carrying his entire team but he's not Rodgers or Brady.

i agree! the colts GM was even worse than Baalke. Continually made bonehead decision and drafting players that were complete busts, didnt fit a need, or fit their system

Luck is the only reason that franchise isnt in our situation and Luck was a move anyone with a brain would of made

Recent NFL.com mock draft has him going #1 to Cleveland.

Watson the next Vince Young.
VINCE YOUNG??

Wow... first of all, he's far more intelligent than Vince..

2ndly, Vince never hat that IT in him..

and 3rd, Vince never learned how to throw the football..
This are some very good articles, breaking down some plays from Watson, talking about his ability to read the whole field and his processing speed and recognition. Schofield always does a good job with his analysis and this is no exception. Too long to post in the thread, just click on the links and check both of these out.

Yep. This young man just oozes the It factor! He's like the type of player who refuses to lose, especially when it matters most....the biggest stage of all. Just Win. We'll see. I trust Shanahan will make the right decision, whoever he pick to be his QB.
