I'd rather grab him late 1st rd than taking Trubisky at 2nd overall, thats for sure. Way better value, and very well may be the better player.

Now two of these bust wide open, so no big deal there. But pay attention to the other four:
- Perfectly thrown 50 yard bomb that he never gets to see completed because he gets laid out by the blitz. He steps into the throw regardless and absorbs the contact and makes what the announcer described in the full game as a "open up the shirt pocket and perfectly drop it in" throw.
- UNC sends another blitz up the gut and he rolls out to his right and throws a perfect strike 30 yards downfield to Mike Williams who has beaten man coverage. So smooth.
- Maneuvers in the pocket and steps up while using a pump fake to influence the coverage downfield, then throws a 35 yard dart into the window his pump fake has created (actually three defenders close by but not in a position to pick the ball). From there Artavis Scott makes a great effort play to power into the endzone. The way Watson moves around the pocket while keeping his eyes downfield and then pumpfakes would make any NFL scout proud, especially coming in his first start.
- Final TD is a perfectly thrown fade to a well covered Jordan Leggett. He puts the ball up where only Leggett has a chance to make the play, and Leggett plucks it over the defender.

I'm so confused by him as a prospect at times he looks like he could be the best quarterback on the planet and at other times he leaves me scrating my head. . At his best he's by far the best QB coming out. . I think all the weight room time he had in the off-season interfered with his accuracy a bit

Nice interview...he finishes it saying he's already talked to a few teams including SF.

Trubisky is the likely choice if we take a QB early. He appears to be a more accurate passer than Watson. However, if Kyle thinks he can work with Watson and improve his decision making and mid-to-deep ball accuracy, I'll be psyched. I love Watson's attitude and penchant for playing big in big games. That stuff can't be taught.

I dont see a single problem with him as a quarterback that can't be fixed. I have no idea where the hate is come from.
I would much rather have him than Trubisky. Nothing bout Trubisky seems impressive to me. If this was a draft that has had any of the recent number 1 qbs coming out, Trubisky would be a far second to them. I just hope Shanahan gets this correct and gets us going.

Watson will be the pick if they stay at #2 he would've beat Alabama twice if it wasn't for Henry 158 yards and 3 touchdowns he has played well against top competition National Champs......You see the qb's Shanahan has worked with and they've had there best years under him.

"Watson's confidence and competitiveness reminds me a lot of Jameis Winston and Dak Prescott. He loves the bright lights and a big stage. He plays better when things are on the line. At the end of the day, that stuff matters," the director told NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks. "... We all want to win and the franchise quarterback needs to believe that he can get it done. Watson believes he is that guy."

Although I don't necessarily agree with it, I do think that Watson is going to be in play at 2. I don't think we can underemphasize the importance of his performances against Alabama. Saban utilizes concepts that are advanced even for the NFL level, so what Watson did is pretty damn impressive.
One knock I have on Watson is his decision at times can be egregious. Fortunately, he would have Kyle in his corner now. Matt Ryan said one of the things Shanahan most helped him with was his decision making. Kyle is a master at not only design and calls, but teaching and coaching his guys up. I think Kyle and Watson could form a formidable combination.
