This kid is beasting. I know a lot of people worry that he could be another Kap or RG3, but IMO, those 2 guys have never looked as impressive as he does.

RG3 looked this good his rookie year. He just never progressed which is a problem once defenses figure you out. With the exception of TD%, Watson's stats have been mediocre so far (still impressive for a rookie). 61% completion, 7.5 Y/A, 2.9% INT, and 14 sacks so far (only 1 sack against Cleveland though, so he's improving there). His passer rating is being propped up to 100 because of his league leading TD rate which is going to drop (8.6 isn't sustainable for a full season unless you're Tom Brady in 2007).
Houston RBs only have one rushing TD so far this year and Houston has 15 offensive TDs compared to 9 FGs. I'd bet on them failing to convert as many drives into TDs (and settling for FGs more often) and scoring a few more rushing TDs which will cut down Watson's TD rate and drop his passer rating into the 80s or 90s. Still a good start for a rookie QB who looks like he belongs as a starting QB.

I would also remind everyone that the Houston OL is pretty bad, so I wouldn't put sacks on him. He's done a great job of evading the rush while keeping his eyes downfield.

I'd agree with that and think that's one of the reasons why the Texans don't have many rushing TDs (they don't trust their line to win at the goal line). I just brought up his TD rate because it's a pretty big outlier right now (Tom Brady only finished with a higher TD rate once in 2007 when he set the record for TDs in a season). The Texans don't have a good enough offense for this to be sustainable with a rookie QB.
Watson is off to a terrific start and is putting up solid numbers, but his passer rating is inflated right now by the unsustainable TD rate.

I think you mean all time best rookie QB passing numbers.
