Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson - Legit alternative to Jared Goff in 2017?

You can never measure a kids heart he can ball his draft status was also hurt because his talent in Clemson made him look better but clearly should of been the 1st QB taken

I can honestly say that I wasn't in that crowd. My knock on him was that he turns the ball over too much. Turnovers in a QB's rookie year is disregarded IMO, rookies are gonna make the wrong reads, be inconsistent in their passes, inconsistent with their mechanics and footwork. It's just how they correct their mistakes going forward.

damn, this dude is legit. who wouldda thunk it.
Browns had the opportunity to get a man who would transform their team on defense and another that would transform it on offense in the same draft and they pissed it all away again.

Think the Alabama defense thunk it...it was just all the 'experts' who said he didn't have this and didn't have that.....but he was a winner, and most seemed to somehow forget that or looked at things like arm strength as being a reason not to select him.

For me it was the horrible INTs he'd throw on the reg...I didn't think he was gonna come out like this(happy for the guy) and didn't dislike him (had him as my #2). I just perfer our options this upcoming off season more.

I think the concern over his INTs was warranted, but the sad part is that Rosen and Darnold have been turnover machines this season without the benefit of showing DW4's playmaking ability. Rosen should actually have a lot more INTs than he has based on some of his throws in various games, even the miraculous aTm comeback.

Let's be real, he wouldn't be balling as hard on the browns. Texans are literally a qb away from competing and a rookie qb couldn't ask for a better team tbh

And Brady wouldn't have won a SB last season on the browns either...what's your point?

That most adequate qbs would be doing well on the Texans. People are already pulling there hair out as if Watson is the next big thing. The Jury is still out

Doesn't change the fact that he's leading the NFL in TD passes...
