Not good enough to play on the 49ers

Looks like it. This kid is going to haunt us (and the Browns) for many years to come.

O'Brien has done a great job tailoring the offense to DW4's skill set, but he cost them today's game the same way he did versus the Patriots. Third down and 5 with a minute left to ice the game with a s**tty Texans defense, and O'Brien runs it up the gut instead of leaving the ball in the hands of his best player. It boggles my mind that some of these guys get paid millions to make these brainless decisions. If you have the 2000 Ravens D, you can pull that conservative crap, but there is no excuse to go into a shell there with someone like DW4 tearing the Seahawks apart. He had literally just run for a first down in a similar spot before the two minute warning.

Watson had two bad picks (the third was just a Hail Mary at end of game from his 15), but he tore apart the Seahawks D on the road. He is unbelievable. The TD pass where he got spun around by a defender and steadied himself to find the RB in the endzone was incredible.

He's literally off to the best start in NFL history.

Watson has been playing great but how good would he look with this roster?

I think trying to nitpick the best start in NFL history for a QB based on our s**tty roster is missing the point right now. He would look infinitely better than anyone on our roster now and probably infinitely better than anyone who might be on our roster next year or the year after that. Luckily for him the Texans saw his potential and acted accordingly.

"'You played the best game any quarterback has ever played against us, and we've played all the legends. I respect how you hung in there and kept battling and battling,'" Richard Sherman said.
-------
""My God, Houston's so lucky. By next year he's going to be a top-five quarterback in this league, and that includes the two big dogs [Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers]. He makes you dig to the deepest part of your competitive juices to beat him," Sherman told The MMQB.com.

Maybe Dabo was right??

Sorry I misread your post, I thought you said our coach didn't have stones...which I figured was your way of saying he'd be doing the same things here.

But since you replied with the rest of that saying he'd look infinitely better, while cannot be proven one way or another, imo is way over the top.
Wanted this kid so bad... sucks we missed out

Yeah, I was hoping we would draft him also! Of course everyone was saying he wasn't worthy of a #2 pick. But you always want a winner, and he proved that against Alabama, and did better than any QB could two years in a row against that awesome defense.

I really liked him coming out but we needed to build our lines first. Hope we go oline next year.

Very few people were saying this actually. Most people weren't sure if he could handle Kyle's offense and honestly we will never know whether he could or not.

However he was a QB and as many people said if Kyle felt he was the right guy he should be the pick.

I think a lot of people were scared off by his turnovers last year and a small group was alarmed at the testing of his velocity during the combine(which I thought was silly)
