Patrick Mahomes QB

I think there is no reason for him to come back to Texas Tech. next year. He is not going to become any better of an NFL QB playing in that system another year. He needs to come out now and hope the draft process helps get him to the right team that can develop him.

3rd round pick I'd be cool with it. I'm guessing he stays though

idk if he does..its not like Texas Tech is good..he proved himself last year and this year..i think we all know what he brings tot he table while we know what needs work..staying at TT isn't going to help him with his weaknesses

A team is going to fall in love with the potential..his arm strength, accuracy, touch on the ball and scrambling ability are great..thats a lot to work with..if he declares hes going in the 2nd..

Because arm strength, college accuracy and scrambling will get you in the 2nd, how long have you been following the draft again?

We know what happens with him at Tech. next year. 65%+, 4500+ yards, 35+ TDs and 5+ wins.

What do you mean..? QBs with less talent in everyway have been drafted higher then the 2nd..ummm the QB on the team we love had less then him and he was a 2nd rd pick..

go ahead ill let you count how many QBs were drafted in the 1st 2 rounds that aren't as talented as Mahomes...

The QB on the team that you guys love, knew how to run an offense the way Harbaugh favored, and yes he had a strong arm to go along with that. Right now all you're looking at is Mahomes 5,000 passing yards and strong arm. Kliff Kingsbury probably had the best pocket awareness and accurate arm in college football back in 2002 and the dude went in the 6th round. Now all of a sudden Texas tech has a QB with a strong arm, mobile and throws for 5,000 yards and everything you people have said about the Air Raid gets thrown out the window.

Have a nice day.

Ok so I guess we disagree..bc in my eyes Mahomes if Mahomes comes out he is a better Prospect then Kap was and better awareness with better accuracy..they are alike in a lot of ways but Mahomes is def a better passer..

OK cool, I counted 9 since 2010..no I told you so just want my Webzone cookie..im not greedy ill split it with you..but seriously I'm not here to prove anyone wrong bc I don't know it all and am wrong a lot or don't know more then the next guy but I do think Mahomes more talent then a lot of QBs who were in the draft

Honestly, drafting this kid with a 2nd or higher would scare me a bit. Immense talent, but huge risk.

If we acquire Tony Romo, id be okay with grabbing him in the second and having him learn for 2 years.

yeah sitting him a year has to be a definite, Romo isn't even in the cards for me..he will be a bronco or a jet next year..my thinking is hopefully Kap continues to get better and better and stays and Mahomes sits behind him..if Mahomes comes out hes a type of QB Chip will be intrigued by..can be his project..
