In his defense, people compared Paxton Lynch to Kap, which seems like a more appropriate comparison.

Mahomes seems like a taller Wilson to me.

Wilson was 4x more disciplined as a QB than this guy coming out of college.

RW was 23 years old when he played at Wisconsin. Mahomes is 21.

RW when he was 21:

If you look at his play at NC State you will see a lot more similarities.
Seems like Mahomes is off the Niners radar at this point, at least based on the combine meetings/ upcomingvisitation schedules. I really hope that isn't the case--he really looks like Favre when he plays and he has the best arm talent in the class.

Meetings = we need more info, but talent indicates an early round pick

So the lack of one doesn't mean no interest

"We met with all the kids we're going to see at the combine," Lynch said. "But now we get to go see them in action. A couple of them are pro days and we have one private workout. We're going to go see these guys, get to know them. The film kind of speaks for itself. But there's always great value to seeing someone in person, maybe you catch something you didn't on film. I think the most important thing, like you said, is we're having some dinners, those types of things. Just getting to know the young men, know what they're all about. What drives them? You get to learn about their families and it's all a part of the equation."

As we get closer, I'm hoping we can take pick 34, move to the bottom of the first round (to have the 5th year option) and take Mahomes.

Mahomes footwork is probably the most disgusting mechanics I ever seen in a QB. Not to mention it always seems like he's playing backyard football, running around and just chucking up 50/50 balls to his WR's. No Thanks

Somehow those 50/50 balls are pretty accurate on film.
Dude throws an unbelievable ball with accuracy and touch. A lot of his "50/50" balls are deliberately placed, where only the WR can grab it. Of course he makes his share of mistakes as well. Watson, on the other hand, has much better mechanics and feet, but to me, throws way more 50/50 balls, relying on the play making ability of his receivers more than his own accuracy and placement

dude misses the easy throw and reads all the time...he opts for the "big play" and improvises wayyy too much. His footwork is trash. He's a project with huge upside but his floor is very low.

His best chance at success is holding a clip board for a yr of two then taking it over. Going somewhere that has an established Qb at the backend of his career would suit him best. He's gonna get over drafted based off those "wow" plays and people will over look the simple things he's misses on the regular.

He doesn't look like a WCO qb to me...somewhere like Pitt or zona would be a better fit IMO.
