Lynch said they had some private workouts dialed up, and QBs were in that mix. As far as I have seen, he didn't say who they were working out. Mahomes said he had another private workout coming up, but that the team preferred to remain anonymous.

My draft crush QB, and I have a sneak suspicion we are the secret admirers of him. But I wonder, is he the right QB for shanny? He checks out a couple of what kyle wants with a natural arm and fearless. But he is raw and I am not a fan of his footwork. If we get him, It's a telltale sign that hoyer will start the majority of the season.

I'm definitely fine with him sitting behind Hoyer or another vet for a season or two to clean up his footwork and mechanics. But you're right, he's a natural thrower and fearless which are some of the things Kyle is looking for in a QB. He's pretty accurate with the deep balls, and goes through his reads and progressions very well. Definitely better than Capt. check-down in Peterman which in IMO is Alex Smith 2.0 that most of the Zoners are in love with.

Sure... just scrub our name off the 2018 draft.

Only if you live in Cleveland and your "we" is the Browns.

Time to take a close look at Pat Mahomes. Here's my evaluation based on 4 full games and many more selected situational throws. pic.twitter.com/kmVwbBelOY

If Kyle really wants to take this guy back to QB school and re-work his footwork and mechanics from square one, then sure.
Is he going to want to take on that project though?
Maybe. It is a 6 year contract I guess.

Any QB we draft is going back to "QB school". No rookie QB will be able to step in and play in Shanahan's system....

Same stuff 49ers fans have been saying about Russell Wilson for years. Yes, it would be tough on him if teams took his improv plays away. No, it hasn't reliably happened yet. Eventually, you have to concede that all of that luck can't really be luck.
