Patrick Mahomes QB

Kyle had his most success in Atlanta where he got to work with the most talented QB he has coached by far.

Nobody is talking about making them a great qb, but absolutely a serviceable one.

Every qb had their best years under him. Ryan, Schaub(29td 15int and nearly 5000 yards), RG3, Hoyer had 7td 1 int in the first 5 games up until Mack went down. Rosenfel had no business in the NFL but he had 14-12 td-int under Shanny.

Thats fine and dandy but serviceable isnt winning you a SB barring an all-time elite defensive performance. At some point he will need a QB that can run an absolutely explosive offense at a high level.

Youre making it sound like he'd be perfectly content with "serviceable" over the long term and I dont agree with that.

I really like Mahomes but doesn't seem like the type of qb Shanny would want. Seems like he just wants Vets that he can polish up,

I agree.
Nothing I'm saying is ground breaking news... if there was some great qb prospect he'd be all over that. But there isn't. So he'll take a vet he trusts like Hoyer and hope to grab another vet he trusts in Kirk. If that doesn't work out then he's gonna look at other options.

I think this QB class is too uncertain to invest an early 1st into any of these guys. They are all varying degrees of project, they all have significant weaknesses that will need to be addressed, its just a very high risk QB class.

Understood but there's no guarantee we'll be in this position again next year. We aren't the Browns, choosing a high pick year after year. We shouldn't be mad or negative if they choose to strike while the iron's hot.

Striking for the sake of serves no one. That's what the Browns have been doing since Bernie Kosar.

Its really unknown how he feels about any of these QB prospects. I imagine that Mahomes and his raw physical talent are at least tantalizing to any QB coach around the NFL.

You can teach a QB a lot of things, you can't teach that sort of velocity or aggressive mindset that he possesses.

Mahomes I my favorite qb in this draft, in case there's some confusion that I'm bashing him.

I'd love it more than anything if Shanny felt one of these QB prospects were his guy even if I didn't agree with it. He's the one that knows how to watch tape. But the only thing regarding QBs that he made apparent since he became our coach is that he wants Cousins.
Trade down & get mahomes.

Then come back to the first and grab Budah.

Completion percentage inside the pocket Mahomes (69.8 - 9th in FBS), Watson (68.2), Trubisky (68.0), Kizer (61.5 - 56th in FBS) #NFLDraft
This guys has been consistently my favorite qb just because of his potential but his footwork needs serious revamping to the point where maybe 1 year isn't enough. He needs that Aaron Rodgers treatment, bench for 3 years.
