I think everyone wants to trade up to #1 to take him.

Yup I mean lets throw in the next three yrs 1sts...I mean he can throw a football over them mountains

Haha. Yes but it was only a 10- yard route.
Mark Schofield's look at the top 4 QBs for Inside the Pylon. Has Watson 1 and Mahomes 2. He limits Watson's scheme fits and surmises that Mahomes is the most scheme-diverse of the QBs. He chose Watson for more immediate success, and listed Mahomes as the high potential guy. Key point is that he thinks both guys fit well in the WCO, and that mahomes is a refinement project, not a rebuild.
Mahomes needs better footwork and needs to be able to look comfortable under center but his arm talent is ridiculous. The angles he can sling it at insane

I'd sit every QB in this class for two years and give them as big of a window I could to go out in year 3 and be the man.

If you're expecting to sit them for 2 years, do you still draft them high? I would, just because the long term payoff is worth the investment of draft capital and time, IMO.

Tough to say. If someone is a top ten-fifteen pick I think you get a year. 17+ I'm willing to give you two years.

Yup I would too!
I'd be happy with a trade back into the first for this guy but he's not getting past the Texans at 23

Needs to be written into all future player contracts that they need to stay the hell away from that chick. Talk about a teamwrecker.

I don't think you can realistically sit any QB taken that early for even a whole year, let alone two. If they take a QB early in this draft, I fully expect them to be playing at some point next season.

Yeah, but you can play him without starting him. Getting him a couple drives in the second or third quarter of a game where the line is doing well could help him acclimate to game speed and build confidence.

Sucks for the starting QB, but if the 49ers draft a QB in the 1st round, Hoyer already knows he's just out there auditioning for his next team.

If Brian Hoyer plays like the did the last two year (and can stay healthy), he can keep a rookie on the bench.

I dont think Hoyer woulda signed here if we're drafting a QB high... He's keeping his mouth shut but I still believe the plan is Cousins.
