Patrick Mahomes QB

For example, to try to create a theory that college-win rate influences NFL win-rate, you'd have to expand it past the 1st round and include QBs that had a winning college record.

Ken Dorsey won a ton of college games, and was worthless in the NFL.

Looking at 2010-2012 1st round QBs with winning college records:
Sam Bradford - stunk in NFL so far
Tebow - didn't last in NFL
Newton -
Gabbert - sucks in NFL
Ponder - is he still in the league?
Luck -
RG3 - hasn't worked in nfl
Tannehill - still hasn't made it
Weeden - sucks in nfl

So I mean no matter how you break down QBs based on one stat/attribute, guess what, you are going to see they probably flop in the NFL because......Most QBs drafted don't end up as great players.

I think a chart is more useful then your "opinion" on a player. I mean Sam Bradford has not "stunk" in the NFL.

I really thought he was going to the Chargers. Just doesn't look like a cardinals qb to me

Oh sorry, I didn't tweet my comment so it doesn't register with JCool.

You don't have to take my opinion, it was a short summary because I don't have the time to compile all those QBs records (which is all your beloved chart does).

Tannehill:
College: 13-7
NFL: 36-40

Bradford:
College: 24-6
NFL: 32-45-1

etc.

Do you understand how to prove statistical correlation? In order to prove correlation you have to compare it to control factors. If every Monday I wake up hungry, does it mean anything if everyday I wake up hungry? It means that I just wake up hungry and there is nothing special about Monday.

Most QBs that are drafted are not successful in the NFL.

Listing Jimmy Clausen (who was 16-17) is absured. So what if Clausen went 17-16 in college? Suddenly he wins at the NFL? lol

Meh as much as I love Mahomes, he's been least impressive IMO of the top 4 rookies so far. Yes, Watson has played awful but he also has the most complicated system to run compared to the rest of the rookies.

Seems like all Mahomes does is run easy plays like screens or roll-outs. Still, haven't seen a hard throw or play that he's made thus far.

That's how the chiefs offense is run though. Lots of screens and bubbles from Smith.

Mahomes did throw plenty of them but that's what you want out of a rookie qb to ease them in. He did make some good throws though in both games

wish he was a niner..I think he's going to be a star..

I wanted him too. Was hoping he'd last until later in the first round and we'd trade up for him around pick 20 but that didn't happen.

Let's just hope Solomon Thomas develops into the prized pick of the class

We still could have gotten Soloman/Foster AND Kizer (who I think will end up better than Mahomes). Unfortunately, Shanahan doesn't deviate from what he believes is the type of QB that he wants.........I mean look at the bum Hoyer.........Shanahan actually prefers him!
