I like Landry, just not sold on him being a top 10 guy. He's more of a mid-late first for me. I'd rather take a solid blue chip prospect with our top 10 pick regardless of position. We arent talented enough at any position other than QB that we can't take a player there.

We could trade down to 15/17 and get a damn near mid 2nd round pick.

I agree DJ showed up when given a chance. I also like Sheldon Day.

Then try to move down instead of drafting our 4rh interior DL guy in a row...Raquon/Edmonds, possibly a QB, Via, or a OT will be around that a team might like.

Like I said if you look at a healthy Landry he's better than a late 1st.

I love me some Day. But I see him as Depth behind Buckner

Understandable, but one could argue that selecting him would make everyone else's job on the defensive line so much easier.

A true edge rusher would make everyone's life easier.

I don't know if there are any dominant edge rushers in this draft. You don't want to pass on a guy who could be dominant player from day 1 just to fill a bigger need.

If I had to choose between Vea and Chubb, I'm taking Chubb because both are high rated players, but if I'm choosing between Vea and someone like Davenport, you have to go Vea. BPA should always be the mindset of a front office.

Then draft a dominant ILB which is much much bigger need

people gotta realize after you draft these guys the hope is having them after their rookie contract. How much money you gonna invest in the interior down the road? Buckner, solly, and vita are all a yr apart...you throwing out top end contracts for all of them? Nope, you simply can't.

Last yr people thought Harold was the best pass rusher between him an Chubb...Landry was hurt all yr if not I bet people would be on the fence with who's the top ER.

I hear you but if we draft an edge rusher we are going to have to pay him as well.

I don't think either Smith or Edmunds are dominant players. I think Edmunds has the potential to one day become that type of player if he cleans up his mental errors, and Smith is a damn solid player, but his ceiling isn't that of a game changer.

If someone is truly a dominant player, you select them and figure it out from there. Never pass on the BPA for need. Hell, I'd rather trade down than draft someone who doesn't warrant being drafted high just because they play a position we are weak at.

This is where we differ. I think Roquan has Derrick brooks like potential. He just turned 20 years and dominated horizontally in college football. He's going to be a tremendous pro

How do you determine the ceiling of a LB? Is it his size?

Size factors in but not huge for me. A lot of big LBs don't work out and they get overdrafted every year.

Speaking about Roquan. Look at his age. He's just turned 20. His work ethic, he will only get stronger. He's already a very smart and instinctive linebacker that studies his opponents. The ability to study in the nfl without the cloud of school only helps.

He will get bigger, stronger, faster and smarter at his position. And he is the kind of player that will put the work in for it.

I'm sorry why isn't Smith a game changer? Go look at the top IlBs in today's game...he's a clone of guys like Lavonte David, Deion Jones, and is bigger than Telvin Smith.

He's exactly what is needed at LBer and is a perfect fit for our scheme. You don't just draft BPA for the sake of drafting BPA when you already have good young players...you need to draft NEED with BPA. I mean we might as well draft Rosen if he falls and is BPA.

You most certainly have to think about down the road because then you just end up like the Jets who took 3 interior DL in the first and have what to show for it?

Only he's not really instinctive
