Although he'd be incredibly out of place on a 4-3. I think having him, Buckner, AA, and Solly on rotation would be almost impossible to defend against. Making the job much easier for the secondary. It may be a better way to go than reaching on an ER. We would be what the Jets could have been had they had a great quarterback.

No, just no.

Without any edge presence you are going to struggle mightily against the pass. To me stacking the middle even more is kind of redundant at this point.

I agree
If we didn't have any other needs on Defense it would be worth considering but there are to many needs to make him the pick.

Just wondering, how does this guy stack up against Danny Shelton coming out of college? I can see a tandem of Vita/Buckner acting like CAR's Star/Short tandem. But another 1st round Pac12 interior DLman? lulz

Taller and IMO more explosive
It's not like teams such as Eagles or Rams are loading up the inside

Exactly.

Vea and Buckner is a scary as hell thought.

I mean its not like the 49ers DL is going to face off against those DL's. Philly already has edge guys in Barnett and Graham, the Rams, well I'm guessing they'll be addressing the edges further via the draft.

Right now the 49ers have no outside presence, that is a major issue in a pass happy league.

I also agree with that, I think Landry is the pick. Dline all the time with a 4-3

I agree, I think that would be an overkill. Defense shouldn't have any weaknesses that an offense can continually exploit. In our case, it's pass rush off the edge. When you have to blitz to compensate, that really opens holes for the offense.

Vita is quite a specimen though. If we didn't have other needs, I'd love to have the guy on our D Line. His combine numbers reminds me a bit of Michael Carter.
