i guess we know why teams were afraid of him in the first round

Maybe, we aren't privy to the medical reports, but I think it has more to do with his size, and I think some teams may regret their stance.
It sounds like Landry hurt his ankle on special teams. And it was indeed the same ankle from college.
Does anyone else notice a correlation between ankle injuries and pass rushers with great bend? Feel like I've heard about it quite a bit. Would definitely make sense. Guys that big putting that type of pressure on such a weak part of the body seems dangerous.

Haley had back problems, Fred Dean had knee problems. I think every body part that is stressed in a pass rush is going to be in danger of being injured. Each player will have different issues, I would think, simply because they are different.

The guy is just hurt at the moment, once he gets healthy, a pass rusher is a pass rusher by nature..

Oh man, I was rewatching the Colts game and on punt coverage, Hightower had Witherspoon out in a gunner against two and was thinking, "God, if he goes down b/c of ST, esp. in a pre season game, I'll be livid."

Did Landry have a chronic ankle injury hx in college?

Yeah, that would suck.

AFAIK, Landry only had an ankle injury in one year, so I wouldn't call it chronic. However, it may be chronic now.

I saw that...always hated seeing key guys out on special teams...especially in preseason as you said.
Sounds like Landry is having a good day...

Heard an announcer singing his praises flipping between games /shrug.
Landry is doing what he does.
Landry has been very active. The Texans might have the worst OL in the league, though. Landry is going up against a backup LT, and their first team LT wasn't any good.
