Man that's tough to watch. I remember debating so many guys In this thread who were saying Landry couldn't hang with NFL left tackles. And here he is beating a number 4 pick all pro left tackle for the defending super bowl champs lol.

Unbelievable. The worst were the detractors with the "one-trick pony" argument.

My son Landry.

Who TF was saying that b******t?

I wanted him BAD, but he wasn't available with the 2nd pick. Even when Lynch moved up to draft Pettis, Landry was long gone. I guess you could have drafted him in the first but Mike McG is doing a fine job at RT.

Can you imagine him, Barnett and Buckner? Those are the type of players you want to build your defensive line with. Not AA, Marsh and Solly.
Damn many of us like this guy in the first. Then he fell to second and thought that we're crazy to think and take him top 10 even 15. But the tape doesn't lie. Barring injuries, he's going to be a monster and we missed out on a position that we sorely need

A lot of people were saying that in here, go back and read through the thread. A LOT of people

I'm passing on Barnett IMO he's nothing special as a edge rusher.
you can talk about how we missed out on him all you want, but the way our current DC is, he'd probably be dropping into coverage or lining up at safety lmao
If I didn't feel like spending the time I'd go back in this thread and find out all the anti Landry crowd now bashing the front office for not drafting him.

I don't know what tape everyone else was watching but his 2016 tape was absolutely dominant. It was a tossup between him and Myles Garrett.

I didn't even think he was going to drop to #9

The problem is, when Landry fell, virtually everyone was reporting that it was due to concerns about his medicals and his ankle being a ticking time bomb, not his actual ability to play. Its a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" type situation. Imagine if the 49ers had drafted him and he had gone on IR? The same people complaining that the 49ers didn't draft him would be complaining that Lynch blew a pick on an obviously injury-prone player.

If Landy stays healthy then Tennessee got a steal but if his injury issues due eventually catch up with him, it'll be a different story, only time will tell.
I'll take a wild guess and say Phoenix wasn't onboard with drafting Landry.

I liked him just fine as a player, this team just hasn't had great luck with players who have injury issues over the past decade. Reports about him having back problems and chronic ankle issues explained why his stock dropped so rapidly.
