Harold Landry Boston College DE/OLB

Harold Landry is a dime a dozen player you can find in any draft. Not worried about it as we upgraded other areas.

I personally think he has the potential to be great, but it's just funny that the people who fell in love with his bend want to proclaim him as a star as soon as possible.

He needs an effective inside move (unless he can employ Zeke Elliot to smash him inside of tackles full time). If he develops one look out, but for now he is about as good as Cassius Marsh.

You can say the last part without making a ridiculous statement like the first part of your post.
After reading about his teammate Zach Allen, it looks like he might have a better NFL career than Landry. He's big, 6-4, 285, but besides putting pressure on QB's he's stout against the run, too. Est 40 time is 4.85, not far from either Bosa or Ferrell. Bosa's getting most of the hype, and it's understandable. Have to wonder if he's going to be injury-prone like his brother, though. Ferrell's definitely benefited from returning for another year at Clemson. He's 6-5, 265 and would seem to be the perfect size for our LEO position.

I think K Streets is similar to Allen (size athletic ability) I wouldn't be upset with Ferrell

Such bizarre logic. If you hate that the FO didn't do anything in the ER department, then you should understand why fans still b***h about it. And then you complain there weren't many moves to be made in the very thread where we COULD have made a move. Your Mack-logic follows suit.

It essentially means this- I wish they would've pushed harder, but I get why they didn't. Just because I understand their logic, doesn't mean I agree with it. What's hard to follow about that?

Have you watched their games? They're doubling and chipping him all the time.

If this is true, how come the 49ers haven't found one in, oh....about 4 years or so...

To anyone that just goes off simple stats like tackles and sacks. He had 0 tackles and only 1 sack vs the Texans this year. But he was a terror all game vs. them. Made Watson's life tough that day. And theres no chance titans would've won that game without him.

He hasn't been Bradley Chubb or Myles . But he's done good and has shown he has big potential. Still a great pick for the second round.

We've hit on a ton of DE's that can only manage 2 sacks a season...

All good. There are no excuses for the FO to fail to execute this offseason. They need to bring home two legit pass rushers prospects or one + a veteran free agent that are both capable of starting immediately. At the minimum.

Then i would steer clear of 90% of the threads here.

And we need a 4 down player. Not a guy that's just a specialists that comes in on obvious passing downs. We need a guy who can generate pass rush on every down while still stopping the run. I don't mind having a situational pass rusher to go along with the full time guy. We need a stud
