I can't wait to see his 3-cone/short shuttle. It should be good!

We could afford to trade down to the teens and still have a good shot of drafting him unless he kills it at the combine.
If he's legitimate enough to be the pick at 15 then why not at 10?

That's our staffs mindset . They're taking their guy even if everyone else considers it reaching. They were ready to take Foster at 3 even though no other team would have.

👍 didn't Walsh say something like that you take guy when available. Paraphrasing.

Define experts lol? The guys who get paid to do this for a living need a lot of luck to get things right.
I still remember guys like Aaron Curry who were sure things. You draft who you think is the best fit for your team, shows the most promise, hits a need area, etc...
Harold Landry is a pass rusher.
Pass rushers are valuable.
If he declared last year who knows where he goes. The numbers last year certainly look great. 50 tackles, 22 for a loss, 16.5 sacks, 7 forced fumbles and a pick. That's better than any season Myles Garrett had.
Question is how much of his decline this season was injury related vs him being figured out/lazy etc...
IMO I put a lot more of his down year on the injury. He may not have the size and crazy ability of Garrett but he's still a great pass rusher and whether we see him as a Leo or Sam he'd be a great fit here.
I'd love to trade down a few, pick up an extra 2nd round pick and draft him but if we decide it's not worth the risk or we don't find a trade partner worth doing the deal with I'd have no issues with him being our pick at #9/10.
The combine will be big for him...and a part of me hopes he's not fully healthy to keep his stock low. However if he's healthy the big things i'm looking for are his size numbers - no question if he wants to be a Leo he'll have to put on weight but with the speed not going away.
The 3 cone and shuttle numbers and 10 yard split are big for him too. On tape when healthy it's pretty clear the guy has elite get off and bend around the edge. It's just what we need.

Usually, guys with this explosive of a first step give up 1 or 2 steps up field if they're the backside of the run. Not Landry tho. The agility to go along with his get off is just unreal. Would love this guy as a trade down pick.

If we can trade down and get an extra 2nd, then pick Landry somewhere in the teens and Ronald Jones with the higher 2nd we picked up
Edit: not sure they'd do that over just taking Roquan at 9/10 if he's there though.

With technique, violence and power. Landry has very little hand use in his game. One of his biggest weaknesses.
