Landry has to kill the drills now or risk sliding to the second.

I'll take him in the second let him slide

Vic Beasley was pretty close to those numbers. If Landry can come anywhere close to his results(gonna be tough to do) he'll be just fine.

But if we can get him in the 2nd round I'd certainly be ok with it.

Same. Insanely good bend, he'd be great value if he's sitting there in the 2nd.

I've always thought his arms looked short on tape. If that turns out to be the case, his lack of length will knock him down even further.

Yup, I was right.

Is 32 7/8 really considered short? They're basically 33 inch arms which is fine. We're talking about 1/8 of an inch lol. Joey Bosas arms are just a half inch longer . Von Miller like .6 inch longer. Khalil Mack 3/8 of one inch longer. Vic's arms are 3/8 of an inch shorter. Look at what a half inch looks like on a ruler then. When we're talking about huge guys , it ain't s**t.

Point is that a half inch doesn't make a difference unless we're talkin bout the bedroom.

I wouldn't say they're short but maybe he meant they wouldn't be considered long in terms to giving him a big advantage rushing?

I'm more interested in his drills. And I was more curious about his height/weight combo. He came in similar to Cliff Avril(don't see his arm length numbers) so i don't have an issue with his results today.

Bosa hands usage/technique is elite, miller has crazy burst off the edge, same with Mack and Vic.

Does Landry possess those skills? Arm length isn't the end all be all but you gonna make up for it with athletic ability and technique.

We know he's got the bend but that's all he's really shown.

I was strictly responding to a post about his arms being short, not talking about technique or trying to compare his technique to the guys I mentioned.

yeah its not short but its not long. Aldon smith's arms were freakishly long and that was what made him special. Von Miller is 6'3 and had 33' arms. Seems about on par with Miller, given that Landry is a inch shorter. He better put up 20+ reps on the bench press with those average arms

Got slightly bigger hands than Miller

Also, Landry is 5lbs heavier than Miller was when he got drafted.

To keep his Miller comparison, he has to run in the 4.5s, which is not likely but never know. Will probably be in the 4.6s

Yea if by "short" he just meant they're not freakish arms like Chandler Jones or Garrett then that makes sense. If he literally meant they're short for an edge rusher then I disagree.
He's got that right. His ability to shrink the arc will, at minimum, allow him to feast on tackles with slow/lazy feet/hands. If a coach can teach him to be consistent with his hands and an inside counter, watch out.

BTW he's already met with the 49ers.

All good...I like Landry and if he's the pick I'd be more than happy we need pass rushers bad
Come on, Landry. I want a great 10-yard split, 3-cone, and short shuttle tomorrow.
