Harold Landry Boston College DE/OLB

If he blows it up at the combine and he is a great character guy he could be the guy at 9.

Character is there from all I've heard. I also wouldn't be shocked if he played it safe to get ready for his you know, career job

I've been wanting to trade down and take him. But if he blows up tomorrow we might just pull the trigger at 9 and don't look back

I agree. He is my guy at 9

I know the double up is stupid, but if we somehow got Landry and later OO ....

Isn't it time we start collecting pass rushers?

(Interior line and can would have to be addressed in fa and late to mid rounds)

I don't think it's dumb. I'd welcome it. Harold is my pick at 9. And if OO drops a little then I'd take him as well. He brings a different skill set than Landry. If OO drops to the third then we need to take him with one of our picks.

NFL draft profile projects him round 4-5. Not sure how realistic that is.

More pass rushers the merrier. See the jags this year for example.

Would you consider Landry a more polished prospect to Vic Beasley coming out of the draft?
I need to go back and refresh my memory on Beasley, but I don't ever remember him bending the arc like Landry. Landry's ability to do it is rare. He's right there with some of the freaks. Landry's got one devastating trick up his sleeve and the rest of his game needs to be cultivated.

My youngest son was on the team at BC with him. Says he has a bit of an ego but, he is a really good player.

Just watched college highlights on YouTube and you're right. He had a nice dip but nothing like Landry's. Doesn't seem as physical either. Most of Vic's big plays were him just being a much better athlete than anyone else on the field,
Looking forward to him and Davenport tom

That's pretty awesome your son plays with him. Not a surprise on the ego thing. Most guys at the top of the draft probably do. Otherwise you got a guy like Kevin white that lacked confidence and didn't believe in himself.

Most good players with one move, really have 3 moves, since every move is accompanied by ~2 counters.

I mean a dip and spin move counter sounds good enough lol.

Yeah i don't get why people hate on guys for being a little cocky. Imagine everyone being like Kawhi leonard. It would be so boring.
