Lol there will be some teams all over him after our pick. Pass rushers are so hard to come by nowadays. I could argue that he's better than a lot of the pass rushers drafted in the 1st round last year.

Then they can have him. If the 9ers are taking a guy top 10 it needs to be a guy who has been consistent in his production. I wanna see someone who has an upward trajectory, not a guy who didn't show up for most of the season then got hurt.

While I agree that his 2017 is a question mark, he would've easily been a top 10 pick if he left after his junior season. Many on this board badly wanted him to declare and he very well could've been in play with our #1 pick if he came out.

Well that's BS. Go look a Vic Beasley and Ngakoue...identical size to them. Better numbers than Ngakoue and damn near the same as Beasley.

Both those guys are undersized and neither play 4-3 base end. One is a Sam the other is a situational pass rusher. Look where Ngakoue was drafted too.

Beasley ran a 4.53 and had a 130 inch broad and 41 vert. Not identical at all. Had Landry done that you would have a case for top 10.

And if Matt Barkley came out as a junior he would've been a slam dunk first rounder. The question is why he didn't give consistent effort this year to solidify top 10 staus. Where was the production?

Landry had a ankle injury since October and it clearly hurt his play. They also double his ass all year.

I guess the chargers should have passed on Bosa cause he had a injuried last yr in college, was constantly double all yr, and his numbers suffered as well

We've posted a lot of footage of his that show why he can be a solid player in the nfl. Your arguments seem to just be about numbers. And not believing he had an ankle injury. Is there anything in his actual play that you don't like?

Even Myles Garrett regressed his final year due to an ankle injury, it's not uncommon . And as said above, Bosa didn't do s**t his final year but it was obvious he was good.

How about joey Bosa his final yr in college? Put up the same sack total as Landry this yr, most in here didn't want him lol

I questioned his effort too, but a few guys in this thread felt that his ankle injury shouldn't be held against him. I sort of agree, but I still question why he didn't improve his arsenal of pass rushing moves. Maybe he wasn't able to do much outside of gamedays and couldn't improve this through practice? Not everything is clear cut without knowing all the details. This is why I said he'll have some explaining to do when talking to teams.

His talent is unquestionable though.
I like Landry, but i feel like we can get a speed edge guy in a later round. None of the edge guys are game changers outside of Chubb.

Myles Garrett had the measurables that jump off the page. Same with Beasley. A great 3 cone doesn't get you a top 10 pick.

I didn't like he was quiet against Clemson and Notre Dame before his injury. Inconsistent play worries me. It was happenning before the injury.

Landry is also bigger than him. I don't care about a 40 I care about the 10 yard split, 3 cone, and 20 yard shuttle which were damn near the same. Who gives a f**k about vert for a DE lol?

Also who cares about base? Ngakoue Is actually listed as their starting DE and had close to 950 snaps this yr.

Beasley played strong-side, but that WAS were they got their most pass rush production from...sure as s**t wasn't Brock Reed (who did play the LEO role in 2016). They tried getting cute with playing him in coverage more this yr at LBer an and Quinn already said Beasley will be moving back to DE to rush more

Did you not like that Bosa was quite his whole last seaon as well?

I was concerned about him to. Difference is Joey is a 6'5 monster.

Rob Rang is one of the best draft guys in business and he had him 66 overall going into combine. Walterfootball, who is often wrong but does unquestionably has sources, say multiple contacts had him as a 2nd day guy. Even Marvin thought the questions on Landry would push him into 2nd. I just don't see the elite measurable to justify a lack of production in 2017.

So the logic is you're allowed to have a drop off in production due to an injury as long as you have freakish meausrables?

I don't know man...the measurable all seem to point to elite/borderline elite. And when healthy he was a monster

It just shows he's not the same caliber of athlete as Beasley. Which he isn't.

I don't want a part time player selected in the top 10. So I care. If you take a LEO top 10 the dude better be able to play every down.
