Solomon Thomas--Stanford

yup, he's best suited in a 4-3.

Sadly WE often over look good players in our neighborhood(Fresno st., Stanford, Cal, San Jose st., etc) only to see Green bay and teams back East come all the way out here, scoop them up , then watch them kick us in the nuts when they beating us.. Never cud figure that one out. FIRE THE SCOUT in the region!

reminds me of Willie Howard, a DE they had some time ago. Good player, but our current scheme doesn't serve him or do his skillset justice.
Stanford HC David Shaw says he expects DL Solomon Thomas "to wow NFL folks."

Shaw told Fox Sports' Bruce Feldman that he expects his former star defensive end to run the forty in the high 4.5s with a vertical jump close to 40 inches. That's at 6-foot-3, 275 pounds, folks. Rotoworld's Josh Norris had Thomas as a top-10 pick in his first 2017 mock. We're gaga for Thomas' game, which blends size, strength, speed and smarts.

The hell is a coach supposed to say?

According to this, his vertical is closer to 34" which is more normal for a DE. If the team has his top 40 time at 4.58 (presumably hand timed), he'll probably run closer to 4.7 at the combine which is partially electronically timed. Still a good time for a 275 pound defensive lineman but not as ridiculous as a sub-4,6 40 would be.

Might be a great fit for Williams in Cleveland
NFL Media draft analyst Bucky Brooks calls Stanford DL Solomon Thomas "a crafty defender with a set of tools to thrive as a designated playmaker in a 3-4 or 4-3 scheme."

"Scouts and coaches love disruptive defenders with high-revving motors and explosive athletic traits. Thomas fits the bill as a 6-3, 273-pound lineman with exceptional first-step quickness and violent hands," Brooks writes. The analyst is particularly impressed with the 6-foot-3, 275-pounder's ability to stuff the run, noting that he "flashed dominant skills as a run defender/rusher at the point of attack." In his first mock draft of 2017, Rotoworld's Josh Norris tagged Thomas to the Cincinnati Bengals at pick No. 9.

How about Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. Pretty sure they would qualify for being "in our neighborhood"

Wow, Steelers and Seahawks are interested to Solomon Thomas. I am still consider to him that I am might interested to him, too. I can't wait to see him for Combine by Bench press and Run times.
He will be a hell of a player.
