It's not a dumb choice it's a felony lol
I'm not saying that I was perfect, I made mistakes also. But I'm sure ours pale in comparison to his.

What is a felony?

Sounds like a sane, reasonable thinking guy.

So what's the issue here? Should he never play in the NFL? Should he be in jail? Should he not play for the 49ers?

Can't put someone in jail for self defense.

That's not were I'm going with this. I'm in agreement with you on this thread, but I don't know I will say that was self-defense. My belief is if he's not in jail, he has every right to play in the NFL. Many folks who are against him playing in the NFL are simply aganist the idea of him making millions.

I have no issue, really. He can be an arrogant ass, but he is a talented player. He found himself in an unfortunate incident, nearly 4 years ago or so, and severely overreacted. I think he should have shoved her away rather than such a forceful strike. She did initiate the physical conflict, though.

I don't know him personally, but I hope he learned from that experience. It would be difficult for him not to have learned, but we've seen other knuckleheads make mistakes repeatedly.

He will likely be drafted, but most likely to a veteran team with strong leadership.
I am not really into what these guys do off the field, as long as it doesn't hurt what we are trying to do on the field.

That said, I don't like men who hit women. So, because I already no I am biased I will excuse myself from the whole "should the 49ers draft Mixon" argument. If we do draft him, I will cheer for him if he is successful on the field. If he's not drafted by us, I won't hold it against the front office at all.

Once again I am biased against men hitting women so I know I wouldn't sign the guy. I also know that utilizing my bias would be a horrible way to decide a persons future.

I'm not saying he was right to hit the girl. But if he would have shoved her the outcome could have still been similar. The table is what did the damage to her jaw from what I've read. So a drunk person being pushed could have easily fell and hit the table. If the "victim" would have just let Mixon walk away like he tried to do this wouldn't have been an issue.
