Unless things go completely sideways, Hue's job is safe. And that includes a 1-15 season outcome. You would have to have outside bs and clear assumption he's checked out.

Jets... ya, that's a s-show if there ever was one. They could have a different head coach by game 5.

I think Bowles is safe. They are clearly tanking this season so blaming a coach for the college level talent minus some defensive players they will be running out there on Sunday would be dumb.
I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Sam Darnold a little more after watching some more of his games. With questions about Rosen's personality, it's tough to say which one will be better at this point...

I'm almost getting there. I am a huge UCLA fan and hate USC and I tried to defend Rosen's cockiness but if Darnold is the same level as a prospect with a better personality then I would roll with him.

I definitely think Rosen's ceiling is a lot higher. At best, I see Darnold as a an above-average QB who's usually ranked around the 7th-best QB in the league. At best. But I think Rosen could be a HOFer and win a SB or 2 if he has the work ethic & intelligence. But I also think the chance Rosen busts out completely is much higher. Especially considering that he's already having injury issues.

This is probably a moot point because they'll likely go 1 & 2, and I don't think SF has enough ammo to trade up for one of 'em.

Hmmmm, I guess you are that voice in the wilderness because nobody at this moment feels Rosen is better than Darnold. Not in college or the NFL. Well, you may find a few contrarians but the overwhelming feeling is Darnold is better.

I think we do have the ammo however there are teams with more ammo in their pocket and could offer a greater deal. We will have to see how the draft order shakes out exactly and what teams are truly going to be in the market for QB's from this class vs what teams try to use the FA market and or look to trade for a QB.

I think the overwhelming feeling is that Darnold has a better attitude / personality. Which is true. Better, though? Maybe most prefer Darnold, but it's not that overwhelming. Rosen is about as Manning-eque you'll see in terms of fundamental, pocket passing.
he would be a good addition to our offense ....but I think C.J will allow us to improve other areas , and not have to reach for a QB early in the first couple of rounds , something tells me Beathard will be a coveted QB in the NFL the next few seasons
Sounds like its been an up and down game for him. 0 touchdowns and 2 INTs.

But but but he #1 QB

He wasn't getting much help from his receivers. The picks were not the type that make you question a guys decision or arm. Receivers should've caught both passes instead of the defenders. Was far from a great game but the numbers are misleading.

Yeah Darnold played pretty well. He doesn't have the supporting cast he had last year so he's gotta learn who the actual gamers are.
Just the first week, everyone is knocking the dust off. Personally I like to see a QB carry his team to a bowl berth and win. Leadership, toughness and athletic ability. They should dominate college level competition

You mean like Tim Tebow?

Some guys don't have stacked teams around them or offenses which hide their deficiencies. All that helps but winning isn't everything. Need to see the QB not fold under pressure and just keep trying to make plays which would translate to the NFL.
