Stock at a stand still IMO. This game didn't hurt or raise Darnold's stock, with that said he's still the #1 overall pick as of right now.
I really don't know what people where hoping to see but Darnold was terrible. Are you really hoping to see that performance translated into pro football? He sucks

LOL
Good showing in OT
I hope he goes first. Then we have a shot at Rosen
Sam's mettle is indisputable.

The first thing I said to myself as Darnold was driving down the field with 45 seconds left to tie the game against a good defense while dropping dimes in OT from a pro style set was "in no way does this translate to the pro game".
I always try to be open-minded and objective as possible in my player evaluations. There's no denying the kid is a playmaker at the college level. He plays with big balls. But being a playmaker in college doesn't necessarily mean you'll be one at the NFL level.

It's going to be interesting to see how his game translates. I still have trouble looking past his mechanics. They're bad. I can't think of a single quarterback in recent history that has been successful in spite of terrible footwork and throwing mechanics as Darnold has. His set up+release is identical to Blake Bortles. I think the long throwing motion is going to catch up to him at the next level where the throwing windows are a fraction of what they are in college.

20 year old sophomore...he has time to refine all of that...

Welp, a QB prospect with the single worst mechanics in NFL draft history was taken #10 overall this past draft. Mechanics matter little.

Production and promise is all that matters.
