If his trajectory, or lack thereof, stays the same then he won't declare

I hope he turns it around real quick. We need a couple top QB's within the the first five picks to give us a better shot at Rosen or trading back for a kings ransom.
I don't think Darnold will declare if he's not considered a top 5 pick.

9th interception of the season. Yeah, f**k that.
Two plays later, a bad read leads to another interception for Sam Darnold. pic.twitter.com/UnE5sjYAU8

Not sure.
I can't get over how terrible his mechanics are. Look at this throwing platform. This guy's mechanics make Kaepernick look like Tom Brady.

Darnold's mechanics are so lazy. Check out how he fades away as he throws this rather than stepping into it. Predictably a terrible throw pic.twitter.com/ClFXANBiD3

But ESPN keeps saying he and Allen are the top QBs and throw in Rosen as an after thought. At least on Mike and Mike.

At this moment, you would have to be very confident that Darnold will be able to work through his issues at the moment to draft him in the top 10 possibly 20. His mechanics are not great but not as bad as some would have you believe.
The big issue is his confidence. Receivers made a sport of dropping balls hitting them right in the hands, the playcalling is not only predictable but predictably BAD (what's the worst play that can be called in this situation, Tee Martin calls it.), the o-line has been horrible, and now, he's all over the map with no real belief that anyone on offense outside of a few running backs are going to seal the deal.
It's a freak'n offensive mess at SC right now.

Those days are long gone
They just need to call a game that takes what the Defense is giving.... They balance their calls to a fault... If they are imbalanced towards passing in one possession... they'll start calling a bunch of run plays in the next. This is why SC usually has a great first drive of the game, but in the second, all the opposing defense has to do is a little baby math and figure out if this will be a "run drive" or "pass drive".
Balance....

Ive said from the get go and I'm a Rosen fanatic that Darnold has the highest ceiling of a the QBs. He is the typical California cool when the games on the line. His arm talent (not arm strength) is the best in this class. His confidence has got him into trouble this year. But that confidence also led to incredible passes last year. I don't see anyway he declares for the draft this year. I hope he gets a good OC and a QB guru working with him cause I want more good QB play in the NFL and he and Rosen are a step towards having that imo.

I've never seen him play before, he seems kind of chubby to me. Is he much of an athlete?
