People like stats because "Numbers don't lie"..... which ironically is a lie lmao.
You can manipulate statistics to tell whatever story you want it to. That is what makes evaluating football players (professional athletes in general) very difficult. There are parts to the game that aren't measurable, like the players heart, work ethic etc. Just look at the rate of players drafted in high rounds and how many pan out... the "professionals" barely ever get it right.
Kyle talks about this quite a bit without really directly saying it. He mentions how he almost never looks at players stats. only watches the film to evaluate them and then tries to gauge their personality and mind set by interviewing them and talking to people who know them best.
