Arden Key-DE/OLB-LSU

I think he goes at the bottom of the 1st round. One of the already stacked teams like the Pats will take a swipe.

We'll see. Definitely can't see the Pats bringing in a guy with questions about his work ethic and love of the game. They're more likely to gamble on a guy who had off the field concerns but not work ethic issues.

Arden Key up next in my pass rusher cut ups.

Practically every game Key looks like an absolute superstar, he is like a mixture of Chubb & Landry, he has bend, burst, moves, hands and instincts, he even has hustle.

However he is so inconsistent with all these things (especially hustle), I don't know what it is, he'll go through practically a whole game looking like a scrub, and then boom, superstar.

I can't even say that it's conditioning as these things show up at all times in games in all situations.

My only conclusion is passion, I just think there are times in the game when he can't be bothered to be there.

He scares the heck out of me and I don't think he'd be on my board. Potentially he is up there with Chubb, but something is definitely wrong.

Wow, that's too bad, and I agree - with Reuben you already have a headache, and add this guy and the head ache becomes x4. Might be another Aaron Lunch the way you describe him. Kyle likes football players that eat, sleep, and breath football - this guy doesn't seem like a Kyle guy at all.
For the amount of hype this guy had coming into the year, he's tested as a terrible athlete.

I thought 40 yard dash means nothing for an edge rusher?

It doesn't, but given how much of the testing is related to training, and you can see that he is faster than that, it gives further evidence that he can't be bothered.
Getting some Jamarcus Russell vibes from Key. It sounds like he just found out that he lost millions from his stock plummeting.

Casserly and Mayock were speaking very highly of him at the LSU pro day. Said he will be able to rush the QB at the nfl level due to his handwork

Pound for pound he's the best pass rusher in the draft. His talent isn't and never has been in question.

Its all the other stuff, questions about his judgment, his love for football and what he has going on between the ears.

If talent was the only thing that mattered in the equation, Ryan Leaf, Aldon Smith and Vernon Golston would be HOF caliber players.

Yup and that was all mentioned as well. Would you even touch him no matter how far he fell?

Yeah, you still have to roll the dice at some point. 5th round for me, someone will take him much higher though.

For me it depends how the the draft is unfolding for us so far. If we take care of other positions prior to the third and still need a ER and Ejiofor and OO are gone then I would give him a shot.
