Arden Key-DE/OLB-LSU

Yo Phoenix, what's this retirement stuff you mentioned? I'm unaware of it.

This team needs more guys who eat, sleep and breathe football. I bet Kyle regrets drafting Joe Williams deep down inside. The local media noted how the demonstrated no urgency during camp and lollygagged on the field. The coaches had to get on his ass consistently. We need to steer clear from dudes who half one foot out the door.

What if hes sand bagging to not get hurt, Clowney style? Clowney is a beast now.
This guy is closer to Barkevious Mingo than Clowney.

What a disappointing year he's having. Lots of talent but who knows what is going on between the ears of this guy.

Latest update from NFL Draft Scout as of 11/9:

4. Arden Key, DE, LSU His electric burst and bend are apparent -- maybe he's finally fully healthy and conditioned? -- and his length and power are impossible to miss. Per Pro Football Focus, Key has 18 quarterback pressures (three sacks, four hits, 11 hurries) on 80 pass-rushing snaps in his last three games, including seven (one hit, six hurries) against Alabama. Yes, Key jumped from out of the top 20 to No. 4 because he's that naturally talented.

Sounds like Key is making a comeback at the end of the year...........bonus.

Never too early for that when your team is 0-9. Bring it.
Boom or bust prospect = pass

Team needs a hit IMO to many holes to be taking chances

Agreed. Something about Key just rubs me the wrong way. I see too much potential and not sure if he has the work ethic/drive to be an elite rusher.

You guys get it. I felt the same way with Thomas and look how that turned out. I hope boy genius Lynch figures it out.

See why would u draft a guy thats not a 100% into it I wouldnt waste a top pick on someone like that

I see none of that in Thomas, he has a great work ethic and seems humble. The only issue I see with Thomas is that he'll be best suited to play in one of the only positions we already have a great young player.

He's played pretty well for a rookie, considering we're asking him to be our premier edge rusher. Hopefully Thomas will come into his own and the left side of our D-Line will be nasty.

The boom with Key would be he's lights out at Leo or Sam making our pass rush nasty, or he could be lazy and bust

Key has so much raw potential. He's got the burst, length, and athletic ability to be an absolute stud at the next level but he also seems to have a probability to be a headache too. If I'm taking a guy top three, then I expect that I'm investing in a potential difference making player for the next ten years of my franchise. I'm not sure I see that kind of commitment in Key either.

Yeah I don't get the Thomas link at all.

Key's talent jumps out but I question what's up in his head and whether he's in this for the long haul and will put in the work. Thomas I have 0 questions about that.
