If they draft Key and he goes off the rails, Shanalynch will have found their own version of Baalke's ACL tear schtick.

The Niners should just take Key off their board unless he is somehow still around in the 4th round.

So you're saying they should leave him on the board but in the 4th round
Exactly what did he do?

failed drug test, left LSU temporarily for "personal reasons", he had a shoulder issue and the team didn't want him to get surgery but he did it anyway....

He's stated he's been sober for a yr and obviously passed his drug screen at the combine. For me I think there's more to the LSU surgery thing. I think there might be a disagreement between the two sides and LSU might have not had his best interests in mine (but I'm just guessing there).

Im saying they should take him off their list of guys that they will take in the first 3 rounds.

I'm fine with the gamble/value at that point.

yeah usually guys in those rounds have 1st round talent with either injury concerns or character issues.

last regime focused on the injury guys, i guess this regime gambles on character.

So basically Joe williams with a failed drug test. I thought it was something much worse. I wouldn't hold the shoulder thing against him I agree with you on that.

Agree. I think he'd be good value at the 4th round.
We have confirmation that he went to rehab. The whole leave of absence thing was nebulous.

I love this time of year, within 3 hours of each other one person believes Key falls to the 4th or 5th while the other thinks he goes 2nd round.

Depending on how the draft is playing out I would take him at #74 overall.
I think we are all smoking crack if we really think this regime will go anywhere near him after Foster and our other recent history (no way york doesn't think about it)
Gregory went in the 2nd. I think 3rd or super late 2nd is fair.

If Landry and Davenport, for whatever reason, is unavailable - I can see ShanaLynch picking him.
