Who would be your pick at #9? If you trade down - then to what pick do you trade down to and what will be the compensation you will be looking for?

Marcus Davenport is my pick at 9.
I can see Chubb being lynch/peters guy, and they've proven they ain't afraid to go get they're guy. So if four qb's and barkely are gone in the first five, I think we'll trade up to six and get him.

If he's our guy.

Why would Indy not take him for themselves? Fills a glaring need and this is a weak class for edge rushers and they just added in a couple second rounders this year so they have a good load of capital already.

Marcus Davenport is my pick at 9.

We could trade down and probably still find him available.

Just depends on their grade of him. Or if we offer the right price.

Unless he drops to like 6th and we can throw the jets a 3rd I'd rather just take Landry or move down a couple spots for him (if that's an option).

Well looks like he is gonna be around still at pick 6 now. Will the colts trade back again?
The 1st 4 picks can easily be 3 qbs and S Barkley. If Indy doesn't pick him at 6, we have a chance of him falling to #9.

I agree. Between Davenport and Landry, I'd pick Landry. But I'd be ok with either if we can't get Chubb. I really do think that last piece of the puzzle is a good pass rusher. I think it would be a good move to trade up to get Chubb if he's there but if they think they can trade down and still get Landry, that's also a good move in my opinion.
Is Davenport's game similar to Chubb? Obv not as polished

Trade down to 15 and we get a 3rd and a 2019 3rd. Down to 17 we get a 2nd this year pick 49. I'd be willing to do those deals if we can get a little extra on top of that since the Jets just gave up WAY MORE than the draft chart says they should have had to to move from 6 to 3.

If we stay at 9 I think Roquan will be BPA as long as Nelson is gone. Minkah may slide to 9 as well so my guess is Shanalynch drafts Roquan or Minkah. At 15-17 Landry could be BPA and I'm down with getting him there as the risk is mitigated by selecting him in that area plus getting extra picks.

I take Roquan at 9 if we stay put and Nelson is off the board. I trade up for Chubb to #5 if Denver would take 59, 124, 223, and a 3rd next year. That is the only way to get him since Indy takes him at 6.
I don't get the Bradley Chubb love. I'd equate it to this- we still need help at guard and if Mike Iupati were coming out this year, drafting him at 9. Clearly a great run blocking guard at the time he was drafted, but doesn't fit what we are doing at all.

I agree, but the Davenport hype is worse. Landry is the prototypical LEO for our scheme, yet everyone wants Davenport because he's 6'5" and ran a fast 40. Not attributes we need, we need quickness, bend and technique.

I'll take Chubb if he's there at 9 it otherwise it's Landry all the way.

Some think he's more prototypical to play OLB in a 3-4.

Yes this is true. And Landry is not BPA over Roquan or Minkah or Nelson, so Shanalynch is not going to make this selection at 9 in my humble opinion. Small trade back is a different story if Roquan is not available.

Would not complain with Landry at 15 and picking up an extra 3rd this year and a 3rd in 2019. Not at 9 though.
