I dunno, a lot of our webzone top college philm watchers say he's the top pick of all the edge rushers. The highlights I've seen from the draft nerd links is impressive, to say the least.

I'm only two games into my Chubb cut ups, but I'm already going to argue against that comment. Chubb is DEFINITELY the best pass rusher in this class, he has the strengths of the best rushers, without their weaknesses.

I'm still going to go back and do more, but aside from not having quite the bending ability of Landry, he has everything else in spades.

Not quite the Garrett stupid athleticism to go along with the strength and size, but this guy is going to be special.

I agree I haven't seen anything to indicate he won't be special.
I was listening to NFL Radio and I think it was Gill Brandt ( but I can be wrong ) he said he would take Chubb over Myles Garrett. He said MG is more athletic but Chubb is more well rounded with a better motor. Not sure I agree but he is highly regarded by most in the business.

Is he worth trading up and maybe giving up this years first and next years first? I'm betting next years first will be in the neighborhood of the 20th pick and lower - hopefully #32!
I've seen mocks that have him falling to us.

Stranger things have happened and I wouldn't entertain the thought for very long.

Can't wait for the draft.

IMO he is worth trading up for but it depends on the price, the problem is if a team wants to trade back they will likely get a better offer for a team wanting a QB.

I wouldn't give up next years 1st. I can't see him getting passed the Colts but they could trade back again, the Bucs might do some business now they have JPP.
I think Chubb could go 2nd to the Giants. Otherwise I don't think he gets past 4 anyways and def no where near our pick.
I think qb needy teams will be making a lot of trades up into the top picks to grab qbs this year and I think th giants also take one also the browns will take one .....so chubbs could be there for us or Nelson
He will be gone by #9 overall. So it's not worth worrying about him at all.

If he's a franchise DE/pass rusher in the neighborhood (potentially) of a all-pro level player, I'd do it. But yeah, the Colts and the Bucks will probably nab him at their picks.

I'd spend the draft capital to trade up because I just don't think we'll be picking high next year. I'm betting our first pick next year is no better than a nice 2nd round pick, the way Jimmy played in those 5 games with a crap OLine and an OK pass rush.

That would be so sweet if that happens, but I'm with Cisco, it's a very low probability of that happeneing.

To me, a great defensive end is almost worth as much as a franchise QB. I think he's that important, specially in the playoffs when you are facing QB's that can hit a fly at 50 yards with a football. A great DE is the only answer to those kinds of offensive threats.

I think he'll be good. I like Landry more, because I think he's more likely to generate quick pressures at the NFL level. I also think Chubb is more of a big end than a LEO.

Chubb is a pass rusher, would be a wasted at big end in our scheme.

Chubb has versatility, but playing the LEO role would actually be easier for him.

Granted Landry would get to the QB slightly quicker if he won, I'd much rather take Chubb getting there more often. Number of pressures is better than the speed of them.

Chubb is a monster. I think he is elite, I've just got Myles Garrett tinted glassses when evaluating elite rushers.

Landry is a better fit. Chubb will not be a high volume sack guy. He doesn't have elite bend. He's more of an elite athlete that out-athletes people, but i don't think he will be an elite pass rusher in the NFL. I think Landry is a better fit given his speed AND bend. If he can develop a dip and rip like Von Miller, he'd be a monster in this scheme. Chubb is too big for that.

There's to much going on at the top of the draft though like ny they will definitely take a qb that's a fact 1 either browns will take one at 1or4
Remember they begged for Jimmy g to be traded there also Denver I think ends up taking a qb they traded talib away and I think that means they want to build there offense first those teams taking qbs will let a lot of talent trickle down
