Bradley Chubb DE North Carolina State

I only brought up Aldon because of Chubb's use of jab steps out of a 2-point stance to rock the tackle and finish him with hand timing and placement. That was the winning recipe to Aldon's game. I don't know how long Chubb's arms are, but they're plenty long enough when you factor in his hand proficiency.

BTW, that's not a bullrush, that's a shot put to arm over move.

According to some scouts and other people I follow on twitter, they've met Chubb and say he's closer to 6'5" 280 lbs. Dude is huge. He looks big on TV as well. We'll see how these numbers hold up in March.

I was gonna say in that gif he looks like a LE... Not explosive and bendy enough IMO to be a serious sam or 3 down elephant candidate. He could play elephant in base and slide to LE in nickel doe. Wed be able to move on from Tank and put Thomas there. AA comes off the bench with Elvis,Blair and Mitchell/DJ Jones.

That would mean wed need to draft a SAM that can legit rush from the elephant spot with some speed in nickel.

On Twitter, Jon Ledyard of NDTScouting and Fanrag Sports just indirectly comped Chubb to Joey Bosa. Says he is more polished as a pass rusher with a larger array of moves coming out than Carl Lawson last year while also being more rangey in the run game. Says would have been ER2 to Myles Garrett last year. I don't see it..
He's right about Chubb having a ton of moves. That's something that stood out to me when I watched his tape. I don't think his hands are nearly as good as Bosa's were, tho. Bosa had elite hand usage. Some of the best I've ever seen.

The combine is going to be big for Chubb, especially the meetings. Dude is an airhead, so he could see his stock slip during meetings and interviews. BTW, we're less than three months from the combine.

Can't see the Patriots trading out of the 1st round completely.
Should have taken Marshon Lattimore last year and Chubb this year.

Interesting, I don't know anything about this... I actually had the impression he was something of a team leader.

Is he an airhead in a good way like Reuben?
I never saw Reuben run to the mid-field logo after a game to spit on it lol. Chubb has a few loose screws.

How does he compare to Mario Williams?

Every football locker room needs a few guys like that. I think it's even more welcomed when those types of players are lineman.

Not even close. Mario Williams was a freak of nature when you consider his size and athletic ability.

I think Chubb is closer to Michael Bennett. I also believe that he can have a similar impact on this defense that's comparable to what Bennett did during his prime years in Seattle.
