Bradley Chubb DE North Carolina State

Says he is more polished as a pass rusher with a larger array of moves coming out than Carl Lawson last year while also being more rangey in the run game. Says would have been ER2 to Myles Garrett last year. I don't see it..

He's a better prospect than Barnett probably, but that's not saying that much. Garrett was head and shoulders above every pass rusher in last year's class and this year's class. Lawson is a better athlete than Chubb, but Chubb holds up better against the run and has the size and strength to set the edge (Lawson's arm length hurts when it comes to shedding blocks), Chubb is a decent prospect, but I don't he's an ideal fit at LEO. Hopefully he blows up at the combine so there's a player worth trading for at 2 or 3 in case Darnold doesn't declare. If another team takes Chubb early, we can trade back to 5-6 and still get Barkley, Nelson, or Smith (probably not Barkley).

Nah. He won't fall all the way to #32.

Can't see the Patriots trading out of the 1st round completely.

the steelers will s**t on the patriots.

Itll be a good AFC championship game
Lynch will have a Chubby for good penetration from his D.
If we took Chubb and a SAM with some speed like Haynes wed be good to go.
Very early in my evaluation, but I am going to have a VERY high grade on Chubb (shocked if it is not top 5). Super high football intelligence; stud in run defense along with solid all-around pass rush moves; non-stop motor, and pretty good dropping in coverage.

He is a taller, more athletic version of Brandon Graham. I'll go to war with this guy any day. Super excited to follow his career in the NFL.

Going to be a top 10 pick for sure, maybe cracking the top 5.

Sounds like youre saying we NEED to take him assuming we dont get nothing great in FA.

I'm happy to hear this coming from you, MadDog. I felt the same watching him.

Would love to see a Chubb/Mitchell/Buckner/Thomas base 4 next year . And 3 of those 4 guys have versatile skill sets and can be moved up and down the line. Chubb gives us the edge-bender we lack. And he's just a football player, period.
If we get a great pass rusher it will do wonders for the defensive backfield. That and the interior o-line is paramount this off season
Everything else will be potatoes to a great steak dinner

Yes! Nice post. Add Davenport/Holland/or another day 1 nickel edge rusher push starter and lets mob!
He's my early favorite now that we don't need a QB. I wish there was a WR that was obvious (a la AJ Green, Julio Jones, Calvin Johnson) but it doesn't appear so.

Same here due to doubt well be able to land anything in FA. Then id double dip and take a pass rushing SAM with our next pick. I hope we address offense in FA.
As of now Does he go before Landry ? Key ?

Yes and yes. The other guys can help themselves with offseason/combine workouts though.

I'd have them Chubb, Landry, Key.

Genus do you think he is much better than Landry? He looks a little stronger and can maybe fight off blocks better when engaged, but landry seems to be faster coming around the corner and has more bend to him. I'm guessing that is because Chubb has about 20 lbs on him, but that leads me to my question; would we want a bigger Chubb(no pun intended), or a faster Landry?
