Roquan Smith, LB, Georgia

Roquan's agent is probably smiling right now
This 100% has to be the pick now. Nothing to think about

Bye Reuben.

If we are replacing Foster, Edmunds may be our best option IMO.

As of right now, Lynch and Shanahan don't think so.

Did you talk to them about it? Edmunds is more likely to go higher for all you know they could be smoke screening.

You talk to them both daily do you?
Now we just have to hope that Indy doesn't take him at 6

I think Edmunds goes to the colts, but if he is there at #9 you better believe he is in play.

They will take who ever it is they see as a better fit to replace foster.

The strength of both is their coverage ability. They both need to be kept clean to simply worry about pursuing the football without getting caught up in the trash.

Edmunds can play all 3 linebacker positions, which is what makes him so appealing. As far as taking on blocks, he does a much better job than Roquan does. There are several plays well he engages a lineman and disengages to tackle the ball carrier for no gain. Roquan will probably develop this part of his game, but as of right now, it's not even close to Edmunds.

He does need a lot of film work though, but that's why we have coaches. Coach. him. up.

Well Roquan Smith has been brought in for a visit, so far Edmunds hasn't had any contact with them. Going off their visits last year I'd be worried if I was a Edmunds fan.

I agree completely. Coach him up. Though, I will say the CBA does make it hard for a coach to do so.

Regardless, Im hoping its Edmunds, but I would also be content with Roquan. He's no Reuben, but he's close to it.

Last year we had the 2nd pick with Garrett as the guaranteed #1. What did we have to hide?

We are. But there's still time for a visit. Now that Reuben is likely gone, they may want to look at all their options now.

Good point. I've been stating in the top 10 there is a lot of smoke and mirrors going on.
