.

That's not true. The 49ers spent a first-round pick on a LB.

31st...squeaked it in there.

All I'm saying is there's talent at LBer in this draft. Gotta trust our scouts/peters to find that talent. If it's smith so be it, wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't.

I got this feeling it's gonna be Fitz if there and I hate it

If we draft Roquan, we can still grab some more of that LB talent in this draft. We have no one at LB that's worth sh**. We need a pass rush and we also need to completely revamp all of our LB positions with new starters. So if they decided they couldn't pass on Roquan, we can also draft another LB and totally revamp that level of our defense and infuse it with talent. I agree on positional value for the most part, but Roquan may just be simply too damn good to pass on. If so we will have to look toward Okoronkwo, Hubbard, Sweat, Nwosu, Elijafor, Turay etc in the 2nd/3rd/4th rounds and get the elite pass rusher next year.

Or we go Landry which I wouldn't be mad at. I just don't know if they'd pass on Roquan. Just too good. Maybe the Colts will take Roquan and then we can all beat the table for Landry.

We need scheme fit guys which this draft is full of IMO.

No way SF was counting on Foster playing this yr even before the news from Thursday.

The problem is that the more teams move onto our scheme the higher the value these scheme fit LB's become. It's what happened with the 3-4 pass rusher, the value gets bumped up.

As you've stated many times this scheme needs a pass rush, however it also needs athletic and savvy LB's. I know you say there's depth, but none of the others are anywhere near as good as Roquan.

This is going to be straight up best player available, and I think that will be Roquan.

I agree with this esp with regards to the last two paragraphs. BPA is gonna be Roquan.

Please be higher on their board than Minkah pleeeease.

I'm sorry, mayo.
If we were talking Vander Esch or Landry it's Landry all the way. Roquan though....
I don't think he will be there when we pick. I feel like the Bears are going to snatch him up.

mayo, you may find solace in the Fred Warner thread. We have plenty of room for ALL Roquan refugees.

Come, brothers.

I think Smith, Oliver, and James are becoming my favorites at #9.
