I remember when the word on Patrick Willis in '07 draft was that he "didn't take on blocks well enough" and was too stiff to be "great". How did that turn out? Save the Roquan doesn't take on blocks bs. Turn on the Tennessee game. Tell me he can't take on after watching that...

The problem is that the more teams move onto our scheme the higher the value these scheme fit LB's become. It's what happened with the 3-4 pass rusher, the value gets bumped up.
As you've stated many times this scheme needs a pass rush, however it also needs athletic and savvy LB's. I know you say there's depth, but none of the others are anywhere near as good as Roquan.
This is going to be straight up best player available, and I think that will be Roquan.

I don't see every single LBer prospect that's a scheme fit for us being gone by the time we draft from 59-74

That same argument can be applied to Landry, there are pass rushers in that area as well.
Straight up best player has to be applied in this situation, no positional value, no need bias. We need both, we can't have both, pick the best one.

I see lots of "Pre-Draft Visit" discussion, especially on top QBs. Important to know, but tough to draw conclusions from.

Last year, around this time, the #49ers met with both Mitch Trubisky and Deshaun Watson in pre-draft visits. They never met with Soloman Thomas.

I also disagree that you have to BPA at 9...I think you have to mesh in BPA, positional value, and need not one over the other.
We will find out in 9 days
