Nice. It's much much easier to find a coverage LB in today's game. Far far harder to find an ER or stellar interior OL players.
The college game is loaded with these hybrid LB/SS's used to defending spread offenses. That's great for us in a deep draft.
Plus this potentially pushes QB down to us which also gives us trade-back options.
Losing out on Roquan Smith would not be the end of the world.

Totally agree, as much as I'd like to have Roquan I'd be just as happy with Landry, Barkley or Nelson. I think I'd rather go Landry then nab a LB in the 2nd or move up for Evans.

If Evans is really falling to the 40s then I prefer Landry and trade up for Evans. Problem is there is no way of knowing in advance if Evans will fall within range for us to trade up for him, and Roquan would be sitting there at 9 and guaranteed to get him.
Ok the Landry page is catching up with this one at 190 pages now. This one at 195. If the Landry page by Thursday night is ahead them we go Landry.
But I still think Roquan is the better player by far and prefer that he is the pick based on his talent alone and BPA.

Trade Bait IMO.
IMO they have been all in on Edmunds for awhile. They want the 49ers to come up to 6. and then still have a shot at Edmunds at #9 IMO.
Hope the 49ers dont bite.

That would be quite the move from Indy if they pulled that off.

Have you seen what their LB depth chart looks like?
