Interesting debate, the kid seems to play everywhere when he is called upon but hopefully we get Landry.

At least he'd be comfortable playing corner, since it's no given that Sherman is going to be back to his old self this year.

That's true he did have more turnovers than Jalen. But if you can honestly watch Minkah and then watch Jalen in college and see the same player then I disagree.

That was from a yr ago...he said at the combine his optimal position was in the slot.

Mikah turnovers came mostly in the middle of the field not playing on the outside. I know you talk about him as a boundary CB BUT there is simply no film of him doing it. You don't draft a kid top 10 to move him to a different position. enough of that b******t. (did it with AA and Ward).

Ramsey actually played outside in college...I don't care as much about turnovers for outside CBs as I do with him shutting down the WR opposite of him & taking away part of a field.

IF he's drafted at 9 (and I'm cool with it) it's to play slot, big nickel situations and other sub packages.

I never draft the CB in the 1st round cuz it is not worth!! I dont mind draft the CB in the 3rd round to 7th round. It is worth for 1st round by OL, ILB and DE and QB and RB

CB is probably one of the most important positions on defense. it's a pass league man.

EDGE, CB, DL, S, LB that's the order of importance IMO.

issue is he's not a outside CB and it's purely a projection by people to think he is...there's no proof.

Unless Chubb is there, but yes. Cleveland at 4 can basically go Chubb, Barkley, Minkah. (Assuming giants take a qb, and even then they still can pick between two of them).

Imo they won't take Barkley, they have two good rb already. They need to add to the defense.

If we stay @#9 and go DB I would rather take Ward.
He could play the slot or outside if Sherman doesn't recover and take over for Sherman in a couple years.
He would allow us to lock up a top receiver if needed and would be the first true CB1 we have had in years.

I realize that it has been discussed at nauseum guy can cover like a glove I'm sure he will excel in our system.
If Minka is the pick we just wasted 8M on the other Ward.
