Minkah Fitzpatrick - CB/S, Alabama

How many of you remember Marquez Pope? FA safety from the Rams that we moved to corner and did a serviceable job. Not sure why but from reading up on M Fitz, this is what I envision. Solid but may not be elite. I'm probably totally wrong but that's my thought.

Lol

Apple's to oranges man.

You can't even compare the two
9. San Francisco 49ers

(LB, S, WR) As often as you hear Nelson-to-the-Bears, you'll hear Edmunds-to-the-Niners, where the 19-year-old would fit into a K.J. Wright-like role. They're also looking for corners, but Ward may be a shaky fit. One interesting thought that was passed along to me: Fitzpatrick as a corner for the Niners

From Albert breer today
And another KJ Wright reference.

Get ready for more tonight if the Niners draft him. "He reminds us of KJ Wright."

At this pt I'll take Fitz, Edmonds, Smith, landry, Smith etc over McGlinchey

I'd take Smith, Fitz and Landry ahead of McGlinchey. If all three are gone and he's the pick so be it. Can't overstate how important the Tackle position is in the NFL.
Why do I get the feeling that Minkah will be the pick?

He's not my preferred pick but he's a great guy to have on a roster.

Guys like that typically up the other people's game.

I think he'll Be gone by the time the 9ers pick. I think Tampa Bay or Chicago will take him if still on the board.

Versatile and overall a very solid DB. I think people Mocking Derwin James to Tampa Bay is only because he's from Florida. I really believe Tampa Bay will go either Minka Fitzpatrick or Denzel Ward.

Would be nice if Ward fell to us

If Minka is the pick we just wasted 8M on the other Ward.

When Ward has won two of the most prestigious collegiate awards and only the 3rd DB to do so along with Patrick Peterson and Charles Woodson then you can compare him to Minkah.

I never compared him to Minka they are two totally different players. I think Minka will be a solid player I would just rather go in a different direction. Everyone has their own preference That's just mine. Those awards do not guarantee success in the NFL go back and look at the past winners and it is littered with guys who did virtually nothing in the NFL. Brian Bosworth is the only two time Butkus award winner how did that work out for him.
No thanks this!
Jalen Ramsey 2.0, lehs goooooooooooo!

I'd like him if he were two inches taller...
